Nice find! That is very sweet!

I wonder if we will ever see a N.A. vendor selling these...

It is one of a kind!! It looks like an alien from the front, kind of funky! Maybe he is perfecting his craft? :)

I saw that body a few days ago, but isnt the SR more narrow then the orignal Heave Metal?..

I used to have a new DF-300 sitting in a box and I remember the body being bigger then the SR.

That might look even better. More tucked in.

The DX and Heavy metal bodies will only fit on those first generation chassis. The Sr body will fit the last generation ev/DF-300, and vice versa. The SR body is nice because it fits so tightly, not letting snow in, unlike the DF-300 body.

Wish you were here...
How much wider is the Heavy Metal? I wanted to mount one on my SR. My plan was to make 2 "L" angles to the chassis overhanging the tracks like fenders. Then I could use shorter angles on top of those on the inside of the body line, mounted to the fender angles, and with body mounting pins to clip the lexan body to. This would keep out the snow and mount the van body. Or am I all out of line?

My DX body, on my SR chassis, is 3/4 of an inch overhang on each side, and 5/8 of an inch overhang in the front and rear. The original DF-300 body also overhangs the DF-300 chassis in a similar fashion.

It does look nice with the body overhanging the tracks in my opinion.

Hope this helps.
