I like the new site Itch! Very nice. I wish I had $2500, it would be sent your way.

I thought everyone here should check out what you've been up too...

We are getting a real Blizzard happening here now, so we demo it for you if you like :D last 30 min, 3 in of wet snow and wind. Looks cool and I am sure it will be fun for someone.

I am hopeing the blade does angle to the side also. Looks like you have a excellent idea there.

Wish you lots of success :)

Yeah, Blade angles left/right and up/down by linear actuators.

Just asking since I plowed snow forover 31 years here for the school District. Does the blade have a float position as well for when there are unlevel spots in the driveway.

Actually, I'm glad you asked :) . It can float or apply downforce, all from the radio.

The blade only needs half the actuator throw to touch the ground. When it is like this, 2 small springs allow the blade to float.

When the actuator is fully extended all the slack from the springs is taken up and it applies full force down. Took me awhile to engineer it correctly, but it works beautifully.

Only one more Question, is how tight is the blade. I am asking so if the right side of the tractor goes over a ice piece eg: off a car, will the blade still be able to have full ground coverage, I would think 1 or 2 in of movement on the corner of the blade would be lots. On the work truck 6 in was great and my ATV has 4 or so in. This way when you back up on some uneven snow ice you still have full ground contact and the end result will be a excellent job.

Keep up the good work there.

No, there isn't much play that way. The chassis is short comparatively and thus won't have "that" much twist that would require it to flex the plow.

Just got about 2" of snow, and its been a painfully slow winter. It is all we have on the ground. Shot this real quick and put it up on youtube. I need snow!

Wish you were here...
Now that you have that figured out, its time to start working on your summer machine. My suggestion: MOWBOT. Think of a reel mower on a scale harvester, all R/C.
