This would be a cool idea for LED lights on the Blizzard SR. I just don't know if it is worth it? Is there a cheaper way to have a bunch of LEDs on the body? The one thing I like about the Tamiya light units are the fact that you can add so many LEDs and it is organised and could fit best in a compact location. I got the idea from the guy on youtube who lives in Japan. Kyosho Blizzard SR Youtube

If you're looking for SERIOUS lighting ( in excess of 240 lumens) Lux-RC has an absolutely amazing lighting unit. I use one on my Wraith for night crawling/rock racing, and it is as bright as the full sized headlight on a car.
About 1 in. in diameter, fully self contained and will run off any voltage from 5-18V. I will be swapping the light from the Wraith onto the Blizzard, maybe this weekend, and I'll try to get some footage up on Youtube. They are really killer lights...more than enough to actually see what you're doing at night

How many lights do you have or is that just one? I am guessing it is expensive too? Where do you buy your stuff at? Online? It would be cool to check it out. A video would be great to see for sure!! :)

Wish you were here...
I bought from "superbrightleds.com" You can get any size and color, and intensity for cheap. If you look up LED calculators you can figure out the resistors you will need. You will have to solder and wire it up, but it's cheap, custom and super bright.

Tamiya light units make a loud beep when turned on. That might be annoying on a quiet and peaceful mountain :)

I just finished installing the DELight Controller in my blizzard and I couldn't be happier (no beeps either). You can program it to turn lights on at certain set points on the controller and also program flash sequences and change brightness of the lights. 6 programmable channels 2 that are constant on. I posted a short video here DE Light controller

I wish I could find one that would turn them on in sequence but by how many time the switch is turned on and off. so like turn on once and the warning lights are on, turn it off and on again warning lights and driving lights are on. turn it off anf on again and warning, driving, and rear lights are on.

You could do that with the DE Light just set your trip points to fall within your trim range that's all I did with my setup... the lights turn on by moving the trim adjusment

Well I didnt quite understand if the delight controller would work the way i want so I got the PicoSwitch instead! I think I like the "just flip a switch" and the lights are on. Just have to wait to to get some funds to get a 6 or 7 channel radio so I can switch off each set of lights!!!!!

Well the PicoSwitch came in today Dimension shipped this one fast it left there on Thursday and got today. works just the way I want flip of a switch. plugs into your receiver then run your wires to it and done. I was going to try and make a vid of it but my camera's vid wont show up as usable on my computer.
