Just thinking  I would like to add lights to my Blizzard and other upgrades. Is there a Sabertooth 2x12 or 2x10 or does any one have a good one that they would use?? If I upgrade the controler as to what would be the best after installing a light package, and what ever else might come along. Thanks Oilcanman |

Have two Sabertooth 2x12 coming so one stick will control direction, and the other stick other functions. Now what works for lights?? I am going to keep the ZippoMan busy in the shop while I play :P Oilcanman Edited by Oilcanman, Dec 10 2011, 05:49 PM.

Oilcanman I am with you or atleast I think I am thinking the same as you...... when It comes to lights and using a sabertooth is there a way to control your lights from the radio. Now mind me I am using a Spektrum DX5e so I got two channels to play with for other stuff |

Well, with the stock controller you only have 1 channel open. With the dual stick transmitter, the open channel is not a switch (Let's say left to right on the left stick). So, the easiest bet: just run a jet extension lead out of your receiver and leave it hanging in the chassis. Plug in the lights when you put on the body if you want them running. Or, use this... http://store.rc4wd.com/E-Tap-BECLighting-Tap-For-Deans-Ultra-Plug-with-JST-Plug_p_1479.html Again, this is the easiest way. Plug in the lights if you want them, or not. |

Something like this might be an option DELight Controller and I believe it could be set up to work with the left over stick function of the stock controller |

I have seen it once in a video and the possibilites are endless with the programing that you can do with setting it up on the PC first. |

Thanks for the information, now just have to decide on lights what I would like. With no close by hobby shop have to order on line and trying to place each order with more than 1 item. The shipping and handling is starting to add up. Have to talk to my in house installer expert ZippoMan . I would like mine differt from his a bit. Which is easy with lights. Thanks Oilcanman |

Do any of you guys know a good site that will help you figure out what resitors to use for making your own lights? My local radio shack has some super bright LED's but as you all know you cant just hook them up to 7.2 volts. |

Google is a big help. Just type in what you wanna do and someone should have info. I have no idea myself what you need for LEDs to work. I know there are kits and such that have super bright LEDs already. This is a cool site but probably not cheap stuff: http://rc-lights.com/ |

They are light and mounts from Killer RC I also have a controller from there as well I will most likely use. Click on products and then lights and controllers. I have dealt with this guy many times and have many of his products on my larger scale R/Cs. |
