I think it will do the same thing. I wish I had sprung for a transmitter with a built in mixer. Pretty slick... |

Scale: It looks like they (Kyosho) will be offering a rear tiller for it. Look at the one hole on the left, and the other oval shape on the right side. It is a thinner area, all ready to be cut out for a rear bar to raise/lower the tiller. Also note the two unused holes on the bottom plate. Plus since both sides plates are the same, you can just get two more servo mounts and mount a servo on the other side, across from the plow servo, easy. Maybe I am just hoping? ![]()

Reaper: I just took this photo for you. Yes, if you layer the servo on it's side, the arm would run right against the side of the chassis. It SEEMS that there would be just enough room to have the arm pass by the motor. The Traxxas 380 is just slightly mo-bigger in diameter, but it is quite a bit longer. Have a looksky... ![]() I am not sure if I will use them (the Traxxas 380's), but will most likely just eBay them. Not sure. |

Hmm, that's the $12 question now isn't it. These would work, but you would have flip the plow servo (not a huge deal) like Reaper said, or not use the plow. I dunno, these motors that this SR came with are not 380's I don't think. My Blizzard DX has 380's also, and they are also quite a bit larger. Hmm... Length seems to be the issue here (for a direct bolt-in). If you search for 380 motors, there are a lot of options really. Hopefully most of the sites will offer the motors dimensions, then we can find out! |

yep, those motors are long! just got back from my lhs with my sr and there was another guy picking up his and holding the traxxas 380 to it shacking his head too. unfurtunatly the castle brushless 380 series seems to be a good ... size .. but this will be insane for power not to mention cost |

Actually the motors are called a 370 according to Kyosho!! That is wild. Maybe that is why they are shorter. |

Are the Traxxas 380's cooled with an internal fan like other Titan motors? If so, shouldn't a "regular" 380 fit fine? I also was thinking that if I wanted to keep the stock ESC's and use my Spektrum DX3c for mixing through the transmitter, wouldn't I need to an rc boat receiver with two throttle inputs like this one:Spektrum MR3000 Otherwise i'd have to plug a motor into the THR input and another in the STR input on any other receiver, and I'm not thinking that would work. I'm starting to think a toggle and Sabertooth might be easier! This two motor control thing is complicated! Edited by platinum_ghost, Dec 10 2011, 11:31 AM.

I don't think that receiver will allow you to mix the throttle channels for steering. I believe the 2 throttle inputs are just that... for twin drive motors. (I could be wrong though). I have been racking my brain trying to figure out if you hooked one to the AUX port and mixed that with the steering if you would be able to speed up or slow down a single track which would allow you to turn. I dont have a DX3c to play with and try it.

That is wierd, Kyosho America has it labeled as 380's. |

You know, I keep forgetting the single most important reason why I should NOT set mine up for pistol grip...I can't wear winter gloves and control the throttle trigger. As much as I like the "1 controller for everything" setup, I like warm hands better. I'm gonna focus on the things Tim mentioned earlier (same things that I'm finding annoying) the plow control and double-tap to reverse. That reverse really get on my nerves. Maybe it's designed that way to keep people from thrashing the motors/drivetrain? Still annoying though. |

Im sure thats why they set it up that way, some traxxas ESCs are setup the same way. |

Look at Kyosho Japan..they say 370 and maybe that is why they are a smaller motor...just my opinion
