Yeah I have a brand new 2012 Tamiya Bruiser yet to build and will be using the Kyosho stick radio and rx with it. I love my Futaba 3PM-X with the Blizzard SR and Sabertooth! I know I preach but for me this is my winning combo for now...hahaha. It never ends!! The hobby is so addictive and upgrades are part of it! ;)

What is the difference between the rc version and the non rc? Where is the best place to buy it? I know I can get it from Dmension Engineering, but are there better prices it there?

You will need the RC version because it has been engineered for our smaller application. I doubt you will find a cheaper place to buy the Sabertooth. They don't show up in many places. Dimension is reasonable and shipping is too so I would go for it......ASAP!!

Read the literature here and decide to buy or not:

I'm in Canada and ordered mine directly, came quickly and no duty.

And as a side note to those wanting water protection for their Sabertooth.

Apply Corrosion X to the board. Great product for electronics water protection.

I talked to the folks at Dimension about it, and they said it would not harm the Sabertooth.

I use it in my airplanes that fly off of water or snow, and my tanks that ford water, never had a problem.
I've used it on servos, esc's, rx's, heck even did a tx once.

just installed mine in my SR. up in Calgary Ab.
question though, if i read this correctly
" Model: Sabertooth 2X10 R/C
Specifications: Up to 18V in: 10A continuous, 15A peak per channel.
24V in: 8A continuous, 10A continuous with additional heatsinking/airflow, 15A peak per channel "

I caould use my 4 cel lipo's that i have no use for. but what motors would i have to use ? or is this a bad idea ? lol

Those little 370/380 motors probably wouldn't last long with that kind of voltage, but I bet it would run like a raped ape until they went poof!

Yeah I think the motors would last 10 seconds before being burned up!! Just my thoughts. 14.8V is more than double what the little guys are okay with.....I think!! :P

You could always break each 4 cell pack into Two 2 cell packs. Then you would have four 7.4 volt packs.
