Okay, so i was reading on MSNBC.com today that it looks like we are going to have a 20 billion dollar bailout of the CITIBANK Corp and take on an additional 306 billion in bad investments on the side of them..Who the hell do these politicians think is gonna pay for this mess? We, the taxpayers are going to get stuck footing the bill for this crap!! I don't see the gov't. coming to bail out Joe Citizen when he/she is in danger of losing their home and their way of life, so why bail out a major corporation who has obviously made bad business decisions time and time again. I love President Bush and I think that he has made some very good decisions based on the information he has been given. However, I think he has really missed the mark on this one. And by doing so, we taxpayers are going to take a major shot in the wallet. I hate to see that coming. Anyhow, here is a link to the story I was reading, judge for yourself. And it also appears that the politicians are ready to support more such plans for failing corporations...UUUUGGHHHHH. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27877195/ |

Well this is always the case when dumba-- Americans want to put Democrats in office ! Instead of giving companies that made bad decisions in investments and loans more free money, why dont the government make the lending institutions lower the interest rate and get peoples payments down where they could afford house payments again. Then the Govt would not have to bail anyone out. |

Ok,... Let me jump in here and add MY 2 cents worth,.. FIRST tho, bear in mind that I don't USUALLY discuss politics, or religion, because it causes bad vibes,.. BUT when I see CITIBANK CORP on ANYTHING it makes my blood BOIL,......and not only that but I ALMSOT lost MY home to foreclosure,... Here is why,.. I re-financed my home back in 2003,... I was making my payments on time, and all was well and hunky dorie,... OK,.. when my son passed away in '05 yea, we ran into a few financial problems,.. My son was in the Army National Guard, and even tho he had not been thru basic he was participating in weekend drills every month, and had signed up all nice and legal with all his I's dotted and tee's crossed,..OK,.. He had insurance that named me as beneficiary, and although we never knew that anything would happen to him (and YA never DO know), that was all fine and well and good,.. WELL, also at the time,... my ATM card got missing, and monies kept "disappearing" out of my bank account,.. In order to work with me a bit better so I would not get behind on my payments,.. CITIFINANCIAL, (<<<oh wow, HoW about that) lowered my payments,... ok, fine,... I kept my payments up,.. my ol' man was the victim of a hit and run accident in the following summer, and he got his foot broken in 3 places,... He was out of work on crutches for 2 months,.... Bills DID NOT stop coming in,.. I get survivor ship benefits for my 3 girls from when their dad passed away, and also disablility for April,.. Still it aint a lot,.... So all of the bills fell on me to pay,... it ate up everything I had,.. then social security sent me letters saying that they had OVERPAID benefits and were going to take away from the benefits that were already coming in,...WELL GO FUCKING FIGURE,..... ANYHOW,... this past year, in February, Johnny was involved in an accident with a Pepsi truck,.. truck pulls out in front of him and he hits it goin 50,.. pepsi truck driver claims fault Ok,... Months drag out and house payments fall slack again,...They start foreclosure proceedings,... LONG story short,.. CITIFINANCIAL used FRAUDULENT means to close on my house,.. they said that my first husband had left a will,.. he had NOT,.. I had 4 children that had an interest in the house, and they failed to mention that,... THEY SCREWED ME OVER BIG TIME,... The attorney could be disbarred for the unethical practices he was a party to,...if push had come to shove, my attorney, THE BEST GUY IN THE WORLD, was going to take them to court,.. and thinking about it, we still may because we DO have a case,.. ANYHOW,.. in a nutshell,.. my house is safe, and I aint gonna lose it,.. there is A LOT more to thins story, but if ya wanna know it you will have to call me or pm me for details, cuz I AM NOT GONNA GO INTO IT IN PUBLIC,.... ANyway, I honestly think that CITIBANK is actually pretty not so great in it's ethical practices,... there are more than me, I KNOW that have been taken for a ride, and have been forced to leave their homes due to foreclosure,... IT IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM THAT I HAVE WITNESSED FIRST HAND,.... I am going to my bank and try to get a re finance on my home thru them,... MAYBE,.... I would feel more comfortable doing that then I would staying with CITIgroup,.... Ok,.. sooooo thats my story,.......... Changes need to be made in the way some (especially CITI) goes about handling their legals on home loans and refinances,.... cuz it is not the greatest company to work with,..... you go into foreclosure, you hav the option of going into a "forebearance agreement",.... you will be doubling your payments for 12 months because of all the interest and fees and costs,.....and if you miss a payment, thats it,... they start foreclosure proceedings all over again,....It may be hard to come up with monthly payments, but it is even harder to come up with DOUBLE monthly payments,..... especially when you have to pay other bills AND you have monies that go missing from your bank account,...,.. and for the record,.. I got THAT lil problem solved as well,... IT wont happen again!!! |
