alright, finally got my new 360 and a few games. Fable 2, Jericho, Bioshock, Two Worlds & Oblivion GOTY.

Fable 2 has my attention first. pretty cool so far, although not as challenging as the first one. everything else about it is better though, so far.

i got OB again to play the expansions and to have something for reference to run around in and check things out when worldbuilding.

Two Worlds. i played it for about an hour and found it annoying. the graphics are laughable after playing OB and Fable 2, the voice-acting and dialogue are terrible beyond explanation.

haven't popped in the other two yet.

I've got Jericho for my PC and I have to say it's not the best game out there, but it was only like fifteen or so bucks so no big loss. I hope for your sake the 360 version is comparably inexpensive.

Bioshock is definitely a good buy-one of the best FPSs I've ever bought. My only complaint is that when using the 360 controller I lose control over a lot of the graphical settings since I guess they feel it would be too hard to navigate through all those options with a controller instead of a mouse. I have yet to do a screenshot comparison to see if the graphical detail is actually reduced by using the controller or not.

Oblivion GOTY is obviously awesome-ESPECIALLY Shivering Isles. I and many other people have already pointed out numerous times the flaws in Oblivion so you've probably heard all about that already. I'd also recommend Fallout 3 if you ever get tired of the other games.

I'm planning to get a 360 myself in January, although my dad will probably get a PS3 (best of both worlds, I guess). However I've weighed between the two systems myself and with the announcement of Final Fantasy XIII, in a move I'm fairly certain is unprecedented, being released on both consoles.

I have never, EVER seen a JRPG title be released simultaneously on more than one console. Grandia and Grandia 2 where released first on the Saturn/Dreamcast and then on PS1/PS2-PC respectively, Chrono Trigger has been ported at least twice (PS1 and DS), Tales of Symphonia was re-released on the PS2 in Japan only. I think there's some other examples, but there all released on one console and on a second one later on.

There's only maybe two PS3 exclusives I can think of that are of any real note now: Ratchet and Clank Future and Little Big Planet-oh wait and Resistance: Fall of Man and it's upcoming seuqel

X-Box 360: Halo 3 (and the upcoming Recon game) Fable 2 and Gears of War 2 (the original Gears of War having been ported to the PC recently). I think there's some other exclusives I can't think of off-hand. It seems that the X-Box 360 seem to have more appeal right now to hardcore gamers. The only being PS3 game that's hardcore (and M-rated) is the Resistance games-which I'm somewhat interested in, although I'm going to have to learn to play these types of games without cheat codes. Fable 2 shouldn't be too bad since I actually managed to beat the first one and if Yahtzee's review is to be believed then it's not much more difficult to beat-I just hope there's no quest that absolutely requires the use of stealth this time. Why not just teach us to use stealth in the hero's school segment and allow us to use it if we want, and if we'd rather just hack and slash at people and creatures all the time that's okay too?

Anyway, that's what I have to say about that.

If someone wants Fable/Fable II weapons in Morrowind, they can go make their own mod which adds them. Heck, if you want to do a mod like that yourself on the side we won't stop you, it'd be good experience and all that.

We're not making an Albion mod, we're making a Cyrodiil mod. Remember that.

yeah, as far as OB is concerned, i had it previously and played through just about everything on the regular version. it'll be interesting to go back, a year or so later (maybe 2) and play some of the quest again.

and Myth, including content from other games is a bad idea. people get their feathers ruffled really quick with things like that. and the last thing we need is a big chunk of the community talking shit about what we're doing on the boards. but, if like DJ said, others want to mod in stuff that's fine.

I've decided to move this topic plus the topic about modded X-Boxes to the Gaming Discussion forum because that's where the topics should've been posted to begin with.
