Hey everyone, it's me starwarsguy9875, I'm currently helping Mythemetition texture some weapons he(she?) made in blender, and he(she?) invited me to come and sign up here.

Your project looked small enough (in amount of people) to join, so I decided I'd pop by.

I can do retexturing, I haven't yet sucessfully textured a model from scratch without a base texture yet, but that is why I am helping Mythemetition.
I can work with the CS, doing exteriors and some interior work, I'm not that great at scripting but I can do basic stuff. I can do other things in the CS, like add new objects and stuff, but it isn't really what I do all the time.

Anyways, take a look at some of my stuff and you can decide for yourselves if you want to let me help, help's always good right?

hey man, just edited your post to fix the links. for some reason the default is the same as regular text, so you have to do something manually to make them stick out (in this case, bold and white).

you might want to do the same to the ones in your sig.

anyway, welcome to our forums. although yor screens are pretty dark, i like what i've seen so far. feel free to check out the forums and offer your hand anywhere you feel you can. right now it's pretty much all about indexing resources and worldbuilding. we do need a few things retextured if you want to just jump into something. check out the "Items Of Cyrodiil" subforum. off the top of my head, i know that we need the Bloodmoon ice cave tileset retextured to match the Oblivion caves. also, any of the vanilla CS pieces that resemble anything ruined can be reskinned with the Imperial Fort textures.

i'm promoting you to Cyrodiil Modder status. welcome to the team.

p.s. i'm pretty sure Myth is a dude. ;)

I can do a lot of retexturing, I haven't done stuff like armor or weapons yet, but I can do grounds/walls, flora and all sorts of other stuff, I did start with Flash, then move on to fireworks, then start on Photoshop, so I've got a lot of experience on the subject.

Anyways, I can probably do those Bloodmoon retexes, and when the time comes, I can do some texturing for the Aeylied stuff.

But don't say I didn't warn you about this, with me, this is how I roll:
Morrowind quality textures: unacceptable
Oblivion quality textures: unacceptable
Fallout 3 quality textures: still unacceptable
starwarsguy9875 quality textures: definitely acceptable.

PS: Yeah, I assumed Myth (is) a guy, but I've made gender mistakes before, so it's just precautions.

as far as texture quality/resolution, i'm a big fan of Connary's work, if that gives any indication. i do think that sometimes modders go a little overboard with the photo-realistic stuff when retexturing MW. you have to be really careful not to make something seem really out of place and distracting.

high-res is awesome, but mixing real textures with fantasy ones just ends up looking like roger Rabbit if you don't do it right. :rofl:

nice to know im someone of interest lol, but yeah, i am a guy, and i also think that later on, if possible, it could be good if we could retexture some daedric weapons, for when the player reaches the gates of oblivion. Because, do you think that hells guardians would be walking around with standard weapons? I mean, mae them look nastier and meaner u know.

right now, we have no plans to include Oblivion Gates or the Deadlands. remember, we're not remaking the Oblivion questline, we're making our own prequel in Cyrodiil.
