I've recently used PHP Fusion 7 to create the site for my Amazing Quest Machinima (http://amazingquest.deejaygamer.com), and I'm going to see if I can update our current site, possibly with a similar scheme, or some significant alteration of that scheme or something. The result will ultimately be our main site looking and working better. I'm still not sure if we'd switch over to the PHP Fusion forums, even though it would be nice because they'd be completely integrated into the site, I'm still not sure if they have the right level of functionality to really compare to ZetaBoards. |

i'd vote for avoiding switching to another board if at all possible, due to the fact that we've done it so many times and i'm tired of losing so much of our discussions and other info over and over again. the Fusion site for your new game looks good. being able to integrate a photo gallery and whatnot will be nice. good job, man. let me know if you need any help with the art or design. |

Actually, it's a Machinima Series-if you've ever seen or heard of Red Vs. Blue, it's something like that, only instead of being made in a game-game, it's made in a "game" created to make games.I If anything, MAYBE the website would contain a "public" message board, while we make this into more of a private message board-with perhaps the exception of the showcase forum or something. |

Okay, the upgrade is complete, although the skinning process is still a work-in-progress. http://cyrodiil.deejaygamer.com/ You can sign up and everything. I may restructure these forums to focus specifically on the mod and move all the non-P:C-related forums over to the PHP Fusion system, which will serve as the "public face" of our mod. I've just got to get that public face in a presentable state first. lol It's like 2:30 am now so I have to get to sleep I guess. I'll probably work on fixing up the site a bit more in the evening since I have to work most of tomorrow afternoon. Edited by DJGamer, Oct 25 2008, 02:38 AM.

aren't we trying to encourage more folks to come visit the forums and hopefully help out on the mod? it seems to me like having two separate forums would deter that a little. i'd suggest getting the other forums set up to see how they compare. if they're superior, then we'll deal with the hassle of changing everything over again. just my two cents. |

Well, it's technically for the sake of preventing things such as possible spoilers. The "showcase" would obviously be on those forums, or otherwise something that links to these forums. Really the main issue would be a little more to keep track of-also we can use infusions to do some neat stuff on the forums over there, although since version 7 is newer there's less stuff already made for it than there is for version 6. |

Well, most of the skinning is complete now-just a few forum images need to be switched around, also I need to maybe adjust the alignment of the menu items and/or shoutbox, although first I'd have to figure out just how the heck to do that in the first place. |

Changed the folder icons for the forum and added "Province" to the banner artwork-so everything's pretty much set aside from maybe a little bit of extra setting up like getting the favicon working, adding the emoticons from this site over there, maybe adding some kind of link to these forums there, and yeah well there's a few things left to do-and of course the formatting which again I have no idea how to do, so I might just leave things as-is or replace the scroll art with something else, maybe the parchment paper thing from the Oblivion fan kit. |

it's lookin pretty good man. couple of suggestions: - the sidebar background might look better if you just used the same grayish one you did for the middle section - the time/date stamp at the top is hard to read due to it's placement and the red color. perhaps if you doubled (or maybe even tripled) the top lip of the main background, it'd fall on the more readable area. - i like the "double exposure" effect on the banner, but the title placement might work better placed off to the left in a more "stacked" style, so that the images aren't overwritten so much. and actually the placement would work fine if, instead of writing out "for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind" you just shortened it to " for TES: III". it should line up pretty good. like i said above though, it looks good. big thanks for putting in all the time to get it done. I mentioned some of these things in the new news post. The clock is dificult to change because it's an flv object or something like that, I had to find another layout that had a clock (I think the default one was a yellow color-which obviously clashed), and copied that one over the original. I think the red one is easier to red than the yellow one, but I'd prefer a black or even dark red one. I might have to hunt for one, or see if there's some kind of site that has a generator or something. |
