ANNOUNCEMENT: We've moved to a BRAND NEW WEBSITE with its own domain name: provincecyrodiil.com! Unlike the previous website, the forums are ad-free and fully integrated with the rest of the site. The only issue now is trying to implement most of the features we'd been taking for granted with PHP Fusion. The forum should be good to go for the moment, I plan on testing everything on an alternate forum first before trying to integrate it on the actual forums.

After doing some research at the Imperial Library I have come across and order of knights that would be very interesting to incorporate into our mod. The Order of the Lamp is a group of knights that are charged with protecting the Mages Guild in Tamriel. They have been around since the guild was formed back in the Second Era by Vanus Galeron. The knights hold a very important position that is interwoven with protecting the guild. We can use this faction as one that the player can join. New armor and weapons would be needed for the order and it would be a wonderful way to gain favor with the mages guild.

all sources of information can be found here http://www.imperial-library.info/content/oblivion-origin-mages-guild?q=search by typing in order of the lamp.

I'll edit this post later to include the pertinent information about the order.

Id assume that theyd have to be a fairly small order. Perhaps they work to neutralize threats with preemptive measures? I think thatd create for a interesting order, doing detective work and then using whatever means at your disposal to stop the threat.

Well as for man-power per guild hall yes I wouldn't imagine there would be very many members but they exist at every guild hall. There is a fair amount on the in the Origins of the Mages Guild. Also archmage Traven in Cyrodiil dispatched some of the Knights to arrest a mage for practicing necromancy in Orsinium so they are far reaching and prestigious. just another of those nice things bethesda left out of oblivion.
