Hi there and welcome. In the page you linked there are 2 showcases. I've downloaded the second one. At a first look with both TESAME and Plugin Conflict Detector I've found these dirty entries: 72 GMST ACTIVATOR active_de_bed_30 CONTAINER com_sack_01_chpfood5 DOOR in_de_shack_door STATIC flora_bc_grass_01 STATIC flora_grass_01 STATIC flora_grass_02 You should delete them when you clean your plugin. Anyway, now I'll take a look at it in TESCS and in game and I'll let you know. |

DISCLAIMER: This is a personal review of your showcase. It's not me who decides who will be a member. For that you have to wait for a review of the Supreme Bosses. When you read the text below keep in mind that I'm obsessed with details, that I like long texts and that if I sound harsh or rude it's not my intention. With the above out of the way, let's begin. I've downloaded "Clean My Showcase..esp" at the bottom of the page you have linked. Showcase Island - Exterior Well, I don't know what to say, for me it's a small island with few details and two argonians. Looking at the size of the island you could have raised it in the center of the cell -3, -11 in order to have only one exterior cell modified against the four of the current version. For "Showcase House One", you have used ex_de_shack_01. The correct one is ex_de_shack_02 to keep consistence with the interior which is in_de_shack_02. Showcase House One - Interior Missing North Marker: Go in the STATIC tab and look for NorthMarker. It's purpose is to give proper orientation in game with the minimap. For the rest, it looks like you have copied and pasted the interior "Seyda Neen, Erene Llenim's Shack" and changed a bit the disposition of some items. Here is a review of the cell in it's current state. Hammock area: You should move the hammock a bit to the left as the metal ring, its wooden pole and a bit of the hammock itself are inside the shack mesh (and yes, I've seen that Bethesda did this in its cell). The bucket is too much low and you can see the floor below it. You should place it a bit higher. The top of the fishing pole enters inside the shack mesh. Move it a bit to the left and tilt a bit on the X axis (again, I know that Bethesda did this in its cell). Table area: The wooden cup, the bowl, the fork and the knife are floating above the table. They should be a bit lower. The bottom of the horizontal bottle is inside the table mesh. As a personal note I suggest you, if you want to do something a bit "over the top", to tilt a bit the table mesh so that it follows the ground below it. As for the three barrels, you should lower a bit the barrel on the corner (barrel_01_Ingredients) because the top one is a bit inside of it. Another personal note: to me they look a bit "unnatural". The lower ones are aligned and all three of them have the same scale, try to change the scale or move them a bit so that they are not aligned perfectly. Firepit area: The firepit is alright. The crate near there however, is a bit too much low in the ground. Again, you could tilt a bit so that it follows the terrain below. Also the folded cloth, is a bit inside the crate mesh. The two sacks are fine. Showcase House Two - Interior Missing North Marker: Go in the STATIC tab and look for NorthMarker. Here it looks like you have copied and pasted the interior "Hla Oad, Relien Rirne's House" and changed a bit the disposition if the items on the table. I don't know how the bosses here see the practice of "copy-paste-tweak" Bethesda's interiors but, personally, I don't like it. Note for the future: when you clean your mod, remove the cells you use as "source". You should have only 2 interior cells (one for shack) and the exterior cell(s) of the island itself. In this version I have found Seyda Neen, Hla Oad and the original Bethesda interiors. |

Aside from what ZXT has said, I'd say the island itself looks pretty barren for a Bitter Coast style island, put some ferns, more trees, maybe a tiny scumpit with some treestumps and dragontails in it, just make the place more believable. There wouldn't be so much moss growth on the ground if the whole island was exposed to sunlight. Anyways, I'd consider making something more of your own creation next time, this island just looks mostly like a raised landmass with a couple trees- too generic, and a couple of copied and pasted shacks, in which I'd say if your looking to get in for interior work as well as exterior, we have to see some of your own stuff. |

that made me nearly spit out my coffee onto my monitor. Z, both you and SWG are more that accomplished enough to do reviews. so don't feel like you have to post a disclaimer or anything. inevitabley, Boe, DJ or myself will chime in when it comes to making promotions or accepting someone on the team officially, but you guys are both extremely talented and your opinions are respected.anyway, back on topic. Brad, why don't you take this opportunity to absorb the advice of these guys and make a showcase that displays your visual tastes and attention to detail. don't be afraid to place objects (as long as the objects make sense in their context) and really be creative with your modding. we're a small team, so what we really need are people who can constantly be learning and evolving on their own. but that doesn't mean you can't ask questions -- please do, in fact -- but also try and take the initiative to recieve criticism and become a better modder. hope the things here help. take a little time and really put yourself into another showcase. we look forward to hearing your thoughts on our criticisms. |
