So, look at this:![]() I took a Cylindrical map of Venus as well as a topographical cylindrical map, and then added the oceans/continents based on height, the land/poles/ocean effects were made using imagery of earth, then when I was done all that, I stuck a cloudmap on it and voila! Terraformed Venus map! I wrapped it around a sphere in Blender, rendered it, then added the background and blue glow atmosphere in Photoshop. Sure, it could be better, but it's the first time I did this, and I'm pretty satisfied.

I like it, but I thought Venus had less water. |

Well it is terraformed so a lot of water was probably brought in. It's pretty cool, I guess. |

The surface of Venus doesn't really have much water, sure, there is a rain cycle, but it's mostly Sulfuric acid, and the atmosphere is highly dense with carbon dioxide. As I said, the oceans/land is based on a topographical (height) map of Venus, lower means water, higher means land. |

Ok, this is [beep]. ![]() Really, it's months and months old and even older than this Venus, of which actually looks pretty ok. But this? Yuck, I'm locking this thread!
