Good day to you all, I promise not to kidnap any of you!

And yes, Sutch I have claimed. It shall be, how you say... 'epic pwnge', because I've found every possible scrap of lore on Sutch, and have fully researched it intensely. Rule much? Yes.
So is Sutch going to be based on your knowledge of lore-our concept or a combination of both?

For instance, we obviously have it set up currently so that at the time of P:C the borders between Cyrodiil and Hammerfell are slightly different-and Sutch is located not in the position it would be in Oblivion had Beth decided to put it there but rather in an area of what later becomes part of Hamerfell-hence bridging the lore with the book in Oblivion that mentions Sutch being in Hammerfell.

This could be an issue if there were to be any bridging to your Oblivion mod. If you have it located where it "should" be in Oblivion, then there at the very least couldn't be any continuity between the two projects besides perhaps just the layout of the city and landmarks, housing, etc. If it were to be located where we would have it in the Oblivion version well that would most likely conflict with Tamriel Rebuilt's version of Hammerfell (which I've heard won't be including Sutch, despite Beth's "retcon" which supposedly places it there).

I suppose ideally the two things would be separate entities which are similar only due to the fact that they are put together by the same person.

yeah, we've discussed the situation at length over Messenger. basically, the location will be atop that outcropping of land along the border and the Brena River. we're also working out the details of expanding the Fort Sutch area slightly, in order to explain it's importance and the sharing of it's name.

i was very adamant that we make sense of the area and the inclusion of Sutch as a city, and TOYB has assured me that it'll be done tastefully and as lore-correct as possible, as well as including the questlines that have already been developed.

I'd also like to add, that the backstory of Fort Sutch (and of the County Sutch Docks, by extension) is keeping very close with Oblivion lore, and ties in with why there's a Warlord occupying the ruins of Fort Sutch (and why the ruins are ruins), and also ties in with the lore fragments about 'Lesser West Sutch'.

Essentially, it'll be a Sutch that doesn't conflict with OB lore at all, and works exactly the same as it was being planned to already, however it will now encompass a greater soundness within Lore, as I've got a considerable larger base of Knowledge about Sutch (I've spent over a year researching it for my TES4 mod version of Sutch).

But, it's pretty much the same as you've been intending so far, and the changes I've discussed with QU are rather small. The really good upside for you guys, is that because I've already developed my TES4 version, I've got assets I'll be converting for the TES3 (assets, with a solid basis in lore I should add).
