Oblivion New Official Expansion; wow, really?

Earl of Quests (and, y'know... stuff) Posts: 980 Group: Admins Member #2 Joined: Mar 8, 2008	it's kind of odd to see another expansion come at this point, but it's definitely welcome. i'd imagine it will be at least the size of KOTN, but hopefully more like The Shivering Isles. if it was just another Horse Armor sized plug-in, they would make such a big deal of it. but, i guess none of us will know until they've made some sort of official announcement. hopefully soon.

When I have more information, I’ll share it with you guys. ok, just caught this on the BGS forums. big let down, but i guess it makes sense.

They're going to do something with Oblivion, but not new content? Like, what? A long-delayed patch or something? Or are they cryptically referring to the big ESV-that would loosely qualify as doing something with Oblivion-making a sequel to it. lol

I'm partway convinced that it was canned, though...but given the nature of what's been said it would be a possibility. According to Wikipedia: Quote: The game was originally slated for a December 2007 release on the PlayStation Portable but there has not been any reference or knowledge of the game since, suggesting that the game might be on hold or even cancelled. The true release date is unknown. Though there is a site (http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/psp/elderscrollstravelsoblivion) that now slates November 1, 2009 as a release date. It's possible they're just guessing-although if I was guessing again I'd guess the thing was canned-especially given the fact that it's been almost two years since it was planned to be released.
