 The old Myth is back ppl lol Ok, so i came up with an idea the other day while i was laying in bed, why not have people kind of report in? I think it could benefit us for the better, even if its something more to look after (I could do it). But it would require (Well, more like recomended) getting an xat (x-at) shoutbox, its a really nice widget to add in place of our current one because you can actually talk like in a messenger if not faster/better. I can get us a link and (if i can be permitted or something) put it on the site, be it here or dj's site. But back on the topic at hand, i think we need to at least attempt to get people more active, a post every other day can progressively slow us down a LOT worse in the long run. Plus it can help us assert who is still with us, why people are too busy or something, and the list could go on and on. Because i have learned from the rant posts i have made, complaining about things only make it worse and loosen the links between us as a team. I belive ideas/suggestions are MUCH better lol. but either way wit or without the xat, ppl would report in every day, something as simple as putting "here" in the shoutbox would suffice. In my opinion, we need to have a bit more activity, cause we have been workin on this project, maybe a little less than a year, just guessing, I came here i think last august/september, and although we have made a lot of progress, a lot MORE could potentially have been made had we got ppl to comply with a certain speed or working/work ethic. I openly admit i may be hypocrisising cause i havent been around much either, even if i did get hurt, and i apologize. I just thought it would be a better way to have people seem more contributed to this project. Again, sorry if this seemed like a rantish post, and im sorry about the repeat of ideas question and stuff. I hope everyone has a good easter.   lol elmer fudd has a thing for pom poms be vewy vewy qwiet, im hunting women

The site is xat.com and I actually have something like this set up as a chatroom on the old Hyrule Isle forums: http://s15.zetaboards.com/hyruleisle/forum/17679/ The sound effects are kind of annoying and as such it would be preferable to have it set up just like it is on the old HI fourms, as a widget inside the forum itself. It is fairly flexible, I recall it does record conversations much like a shoutbox although judging from the HI one they're eventually purged-but I don't imagine that would be much of a problem as long as people are using it regularly and important info is posted in the forums proper. The other neat thing is being able to add a custom background-I'd probably make it parchment just to go along with the site's theme. I had been thinking of including a chat room at some point but either I never got around to it or the consensus was we didn't need one. I'd prefer to wait for Quixote's judgment however-although technically he's second-in-command I hardly command at all besides asking for my DAMN COFFEE which no one ever gets me...although come to think of it I don't drink coffee...but that's beside the point!  Anyway, I respect his opinion and would feel bad about doing something like this without at least allowing him to chime in. Yeah, I'd feel better even just hearing his opinion then doing it anyway-though I'm not sure I would. lol |

i don't see any problem in adding a chatroom or whatever. i'm not confident that it'd actually end up getting used that much, but it wouldn't hurt. as far as daily updates are concerned, i'm hesitant to make this into a job for everyone involved. i think we're all happier when work's being done, but forcing people to be on some sort of schedule just ends up taking the fun and spontaneity out of it for some. of course, people could always update as often as they like. perhaps we should all have blog-like update threads? i'll start those now and pin them so they're easy to find. |

a very noobish/stupid quedstion, what do i put in the blog? lol feel dumb to never have made one, i thought it was a place where your favorite stuff goes or something, but i forget EDIT: Actually, i think it would get used father frequently, if we put it on the main page here or in a specified forum(s) ppl would talk on ther while on. Most times i log on in the afternoon i see SWG or Quix on occasion. But it wouldnt have to be like every day just maybe an example. like Quix said but maybe like report at lease once a week. Oh, also, theres this guy who i have in my game clan, he can make banners like a madman(good at it), do you want me to get him to make us one? i can either relay wat we want to him, or could bring him here. EDIT2: Ok, had another idea for shoutbox, if not an xat, we could get ones GHF does, i could get them for us, they work pretty good but every so often i lag on them, plus they feel kinda weird talking in them. I also thought that an xat would better help us talk to each other and stuff, like if me and Quix got on, we could talk about what work is ahead of me, or we could just talk about stuff in general. Again maybe my idea is wrong, but it never hurts to suggest things, lol who knows  maybe il get a hgood idea one day and hit a home run  lol these emoticons really are something, any ways though im off to school ill cya guys later and be careful goin to work oir wherever yall go. i've been playing with a few different designs myself, albeit in secret.. sort of. one of the WIP ones is "PC Test - White" under board skin choices. |

nah, just for updates. but you can post and discuss anything here in the General Forums. that's why they're separate from the Cyrodiil ones. |
