there were mixed feelings about using Vality's trees, so as of now we're using other resources. down the line, there can be an optional replacer made, if folks call for it.
Also, I should note from at least my experience using his trees they REALLY don't work with MGE very well at all. From a distance the branches look like a bunch of single-textured squares, which seriously breaks immersion. I've dissabled the mods themselves, but I believe it also replaces the tree meshes so now I've got to find and delete those. >.<

:cheery: Thank god someone else noticed that. Those trees just don't fit well with the rest of the game. You can really tell that they're a billboard.

Actually the latest version of MGE seems to have fixed this issue and the trees look great now. :P

However, the new version can't be used with our mod. It crashed when creating distant land.

Not for me.

weird. i guess what it comes down to is how many players are going to have the problem with MGE and our mod. if it's pretty uncommon, no big deal. however, if 1 out of 4 people have it, we probably shouldn't make it dependant in any way.

That's weird. I posted on the forums about it, and someone said that so far away from 0,0 the new version can't make the distant land files and will crash.

Oh, well I don't have Cyrodiil running, in fact I don't have any of the files since I'm not currently working on landscape/object placement/etc. that would require me to have the .esp.

I suppose perhaps by the time we release MGE would be updated to fix that? Of course, we could use regular trees as placeholders until then-or even make our own or something.

I dont know if thats entirely true. I think it has something to do with memory because when i try to use mge for my argonia wip along with morrowind.esp bloodmoon.esp tribunal.esp and the TR stuff it crashes, but when I only do distant land for my Argonia wip on its lonesome it does it without a problem. So next time you make the distand land only select your cyrodiil files and see.

good call.

welcome to our forums ZackG, i like the little i've seen so far of your Argonia mod.

and i didn't think about it until now, but we should probably make an attempt to make our two landmasses compatible. luckily, as long as your Argonia is somewhere near to where it should be in MW's scale, we should be fine, as we have yet to work much on worldbuilding near the border.
