Quinn stepped onto campus dressed in an outfit expected of students and blended in quite nicely amongst the seedlings roaming about the courtyard attending to their studies. In fact the only distinguishing characteristics of his attire were the thin black leather gloves he wore on his hands which matched his black hip bag seemingly full of school supplies.

The sun felt good beating down on his back as he began walking the path towards the bronze memorial statue whose metallic surface glistened and sparkled in the bright light. Dr. Möbius’ gentle smile seemed to mock Quinn. The statue surveyed the campus as if to say “look what I have accomplished” as if that were something to be proud of. To Quinn this statue represented the worst kind of human scum, lower than the filth found in your local prison yard.

“Senile old man.” He thought to himself “Your endeavors would lead the world to destruction were it not for those who fight back.”

Quinn took out a ragged leather bound book thick with loose pages crammed in between the covers. Carefully untying the silk thread keeping the collection intact he opened the tome and leafed through the pages until he reached a blank section. He then carefully removed a pen from his bag and wrote the date at the top of the page. Looking up from his book he began observing the fluctuation in the E which every student exhibited. It seemed common place here for these freaks to use their abilities at their own whimsy. Such arrogance was rather distasteful to Quinn’s pallet. He restrained himself from taking action and began jotting down detailed notes of all the powers he could.

Aisia Asakura was not one of the Seedlings. However, she was told by Eliza that if she was to stay in Oasis for a while, it would be a good idea to register as one. She wasn't too sure about that at first, given that she was already eighteen, but she didn't look it, so that excuse was shot down.
... Well, it wouldn't hurt, I guess. Three out of four dimensions where I'm a schoolgirl is a... strange achievement though, she sighed inwardly to herself.

As such, she was currently walking around the grounds of the institute to familiarize herself with the place and finalize her decision to study here. To be fair, Eliza and Deku work nearby, so it's not too bad. And so far, she was liking what she saw.

So as she went onto Sakura Boulevard and towards the Founder's Memorial, she saw a quiet blonde boy looking around and taking notes.
Maybe he's a student here...

With that, she approached him and smiled, unaware of his dark designs. As for Quinn, he'd probably notice that any E's energy she had was... weird and almost nonexistent, and if she stood next to a Mentor Stone, it wouldn't react at all.

Quinn continued recording his observations taking in every nuance and detail of students passing through the park, chicken scratch handwriting slowly filling the yellowing pages of his archaic tome. Being a collector of knowledge had its perks as such information would undoubtedly prove itself useful when the time comes. Until then he would have to acclimate himself to life here at SEED until he had satiated himself and was prepared to bring his ideals to fruition.

Pacing in circles around the base of the memorial Quinn set his pen down in the binding of his book, holding his page. He closed the covers and started stretching out his left hand as it had begun to cramp due to his zealous journaling. Looking up from his hands he craned his neck backwards closing his eyes and breathing in the fresh scent of the morning dew and budding sakura trees, rolling his head around once before opening his eyes to quite the anomaly.

Approaching from the distance was a young girl of striking beauty, although this seemed a minor point of intrigue in comparison. The field of E’s energy enveloping her body was of a much lower frequency then that normally seen. The difference was so extreme that it was difficult to perceive the existence of any energy at all, although there were indicators noticeable by the well trained eye, or well programmed eye in Quinn’s case. There was also a curious nature about her anatomy in that her bone structure indicated that she was about eleven years old, however her cellular decay had apparently been completed suspended. Baffled by how such a feat could be accomplished he was reminded of his own body which looked much younger then it was due to rapid cellular regeneration.

This curious resonance captured Quinn’s interest demanding his full attention. Opening his book again he picked up his pen with his right hand and continued taking notes. This time however his handwriting was impeccable, resembling that of textbook precision, yet the pace he wrote at was outstanding. Turning to a fresh page he began sketching an amazingly accurate representation of the girl for future reference. When he looked up again to verify certain facial details he was startled to see her standing directly in front of him staring back at him.

"Hello! Are you a student here at SEED? I've been kind of looking around and was wondering where I should go next..." she asked him

“Hi” He replied quickly thinking of something to respond. “I’m actually new to this place myself. I was supposed to be taking a tour, but I got distracted by all the beautiful scenery.”

He offered his open left palm to the girl. “My names Nicholas Quinn, it’s nice to meet you.”

"Hi. I’m actually new to this place myself. I was supposed to be taking a tour, but I got distracted by all the beautiful scenery," the man said to her.
He then gave Aisia an outstretched hand. "My names Nicholas Quinn, it’s nice to meet you."
She smiled and shook it. "Mine is Aisia Asakura. Nice to meet you too!" she cheerily said. "I see, so we're both new here..."

Now she had a good look at the man. He was tall and somewhat rugged, but with a strange kind of intelligence about him in the way he carried himself. He looked relatively unassuming, and seemed to be taking some notes, perhaps to learn more about the place.
"What do you think about this place so far? I've told I should get in, but... I'm not entirely sure about it just yet," she said. "It looks nice and all, but I'm not sure what you're supposed to do here, or if I should even be here to begin with. How about you? What do you know about this place?"

"Mine is Aisia Asakura. Nice to meet you too!" she cheerily said. "I see, so we're both new here..."

The girl spoke with a very positive demeanor and as they shook hands a smile crept its way onto Quinn’s face. Locking eyes for a few moments, he admired her brilliant red pupils glowing like rubies sitting below still waters. They were innocent yet acute, similar to those of travelers familiar in the ways of the world. This seemed to provide supporting evidence that she was indeed older then she appeared, although it was impossible to tell just how experienced she truly was.

“Still waters run deep.” Quinn thought to himself as he closed his journal and reached into the bag resting on his hip, pulling out a silk string woven of silver, gold, and black threads.

"What do you think about this place so far? I've been told I should get in, but... I'm not entirely sure about it just yet," she said. "It looks nice and all, but I'm not sure what you're supposed to do here, or if I should even be here to begin with. How about you? What do you know about this place?"

“I think it’s a wonderful institution, almost too good to be true.” He responded looking down, tying the string taunt around his book as he spoke. “I imagine this would be an excellent place for an exceptional individual, such as yourself to call home.”

Quinn paused and placed his book into his bag closing the cover and looking up into the girl’s eyes once again. “Of course, given the nature of the school, I’m assuming there’s much more to you then your natural beauty.” He said smiling once again. “I don’t really know much about this place myself, but I plan to learn as much as I can during my stay here...”

"Ehh... I'm not that exceptional," she said. ... Nor do I really have a place to call home, she thought to herself.
"Of course, given the nature of the school, I’m assuming there’s much more to you then your natural beauty. I don’t really know much about this place myself, but I plan to learn as much as I can during my stay here..."
"Oh... so you don't know much about this place ei- ehhh?!"

It was about at that point when she realized that he just tried to make a pass at her complimented on her beauty and ended up coughing to hide her embarrassment. After all, only one other person has ever told her that... and she's not here in this universe. Not to mention she would only say that on certain special occasions as opposed to out of the blue like he did.
"S-sorry... must be allergies..." she managed to say. "A-anyway, why are you here? I'm guessing you're also an Esper or whatever the term is... how'd you come to know about this place?"

"Ehh... I'm not that exceptional," she said. "Oh... so you don't know much about this place ei- ehhh?!" She stuttered with a cough. "S-sorry... must be allergies..." she managed to say. "A-anyway, why are you here? I'm guessing you're also an Esper or whatever the term is... how'd you come to know about this place?"

Quinn chuckled at the site of her reaction. Her fair blood flushed face betrayed her lie, making it apparent that he had flustered her.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable.” Quinn said as Aisia quickly regained her composure. “I have a bad habit of speaking what’s on my mind. They tell me the condition’s terminal.” He said jokingly.

Judging from the way she had reacted Quinn assumed that she wasn’t very accustomed to receiving compliments of that nature, which seemed odd to him. Maybe she hailed from a place where public fraternization was frowned upon, but her facial characteristics suggested European decent so it was unlikely. Or perhaps male espers were simply too busy fantasizing over themselves to be bothered having healthy interaction with the opposite sex. Quinn found the latter idea to be quite amusing. Regardless, this also led Quinn to assume that Aisia wasn’t that much older then she looked, still in her teens, possibly around his age.

Moving from the train of thought, Quinn’s gaze drifted off down and to the left as he searched his mind. As he did his smile faded, his brow contracting slightly. “My parents were scientists closely associated with Project OASIS. They played key roles in the quick development of GLADIUS technology back in the early 1990’s.” he said looking off into the distance, reminiscing on memories of the past. “They were the ones who encouraged me to enroll at SEED. Pretty standard reasons I suppose.”

Quinn’s eyes returned to Aisia, his smile with it. “But enough about me, I’d like to hear why such a modest individual comes so highly recommended here.”

Aisia simply listened to Quinn's reasons. Most of the stuff regarding GLADIUS and SEED went waaaaay over her head, so she just decided not to ask about those and make it look like she knew what he was talking about. In a sense, she saw a bit of herself in him... after all, it was her grandmother that told her to go to Hatsunejima and find Sakura's grandmother, something that would change her life forever, now that she thought about it.

When Quinn was finished, he focused his attention on Aisia. "But enough about me, I’d like to hear why such a modest individual comes so highly recommended here."
"Well... it's a long story," Aisia said. "Let's just say that certain circumstances much like yours have put me here, except it was a cousin instead of my parents. Mine died when I was too young to remember them, and my grandmother took care of me in Scandanavia until she died. I ended up being sent here as part of her last wish."
The part about her parents and her grandmother taking care of here before dying herself were true, at least. Everything else was a bit fabricated, especially the part about Liz being her cousin, especially the implication that she was even from this world to begin with.

"I'm not sure what to expect here, other than that I have to do my best somehow!" she said. Then she asked, "Well, since we're both touring, why don't we look together? Where should we go next?"

Surprisingly Aisia had not called Quinn on his little joke, as having parents affiliated with GLADIUS was by no means standard at all. Normally he would have associated her sudden change in facial expression with that of a person who simply didn’t care to hear what he was saying. However, in this circumstance it was almost as if she had no idea what he was talking about, but the likelihood that anyone at this institution was unfamiliar with GLADIUS was nearly impossible. The whole idea was quite perplexing to Quinn.

"Well... it's a long story," Aisia said. "Let's just say that certain circumstances much like yours have put me here, except it was a cousin instead of my parents. Mine died when I was too young to remember them, and my grandmother took care of me in Scandanavia until she died. I ended up being sent here as part of her last wish."

The idea that Aisia thought that they had come to the school for the same reasons amused him, but he was pleased that she thought so. The less suspicion he aroused while here the better. However, the fact that Aisia had also lost her parents at a young age caught Quinn’s ear. He envied the blissful ignorance that allowed her to sleep each night, not knowing what she had lost. The nanobots in his body maintained the synapses in his brain regardless of whether they were used or not, effectively cursing him with a photographic memory since he was two. Quinn could not forget the brutal murder of his parents despite how hard he tried, or how much time had passed.

Quinn’s thoughts returned to Aisia as she finished speaking. Something about her story didn’t seem coherent with her current dilemma. Why would she struggle with her decision to become a student if it had been the dying wish of the only loving parent she had ever known? Besides, enrolling here was much more of a privilege then a chore. The facts simply didn’t add up leaving Quinn to suspect that she had lied in an attempt to hide something, but of what he couldn't fathom.

“I suppose I’m not the only one with a history.” He thought to himself, attempting to shrug off the inconsistencies as normal and end the current stream of thought.

"I'm not sure what to expect here, other than that I have to do my best somehow!" she said. Then she asked, "Well, since we're both touring, why don't we look together? Where should we go next?"

Quinn hesitated for a few seconds, thinking how he could take notes much more effectively alone. But he had time to observe the school, while it was not every day he was invited to take a walk with such an interesting woman. “That sounds like a great idea.” He replied. “I’m partial to the library myself, but I’ve been told that others don’t find books nearly as fascinating as I do. Perhaps you’d rather go see the art gallery in the center of humaneness with me. I hear they have a fabulous program for the fine arts here.”

To be fair, arts was one of the last things about this world - or any other, for that matter - that she was interested in.
"Sure, I don't mind. I'll tell you right now that I suck at arts though, so a lot of those things might go waaaaay over my head," she chuckled. "I'm more of a hands-on kind of girl - I don't mind getting my hands dirty doing physical stuff. I don't look like it, but I'm pretty strong! That and I hear it's a dangerous world these days... there was an Esper attack or something in the city a few days ago from what I've heard. I saw it on TV, too. It's troubling, really."

That and she needed to be stronger here for other reasons. If her fight with Lehoi was any indication, she would have to be a lot stronger than that, as she was lucky that Terado was there to banish him. She might not have that luxury when she set out to find the other Skygraspers once her Aile Pack was repaired.

"So if I were to take a class here, I guess it would be the martial arts and gym ones... but I don't want to trouble my cousin with all the paperwork. She's the one who suggested I go here in the first place, since she and her boyfriend work here or something. But I mean, I could take those at a normal school too, right?"
When Liz found out that Aisia herself was an Esper of some sort, even if she was from another dimension, she suggested that she should study at the Oasis Institute. Of course, Aisia was wary of the idea, seeing as that might draw attention to her, and at the same time, it was a school for the special kids, the ones with Esper powers. It would be easier to find the Skygraspers if nobody knew she was an Esper, after all. Not to mention the paper work involved for enrolling her in the school too. She just didn't want to trouble her, much like she troubled Miyuki back in Hyakuji, especially because Liz was doing it out of the goodness of her heart, not because it was to "keep her under observation".

The fact that Liz even gave her the choice troubled her.

"Say... would I really be troubling my cousin if I enrolled here?" she asked as they walked together towards the art gallery.

Quinn was slightly disappointed to hear that Aisia wasn’t at all interested in literature or fine arts, especially since they were two primary interests of his own. Too many espers seemed to be concerned only with their own physical prowess and the strength of their powers, blind to the exquisite expressions of humanity that surround them. Of course, this self infatuation was one of the many diseases that espers imposed on human kind; a plague that Quinn intended to alive the world of. After confirming that Aisia was willing to visit the gallery he began leading the way to the center of humaneness, listening intently as they walked together.

"So if I were to take a class here, I guess it would be the martial arts and gym ones... but I don't want to trouble my cousin with all the paperwork. Encouraging new espers to join the SEED institution didn’t seem the most productive thing for Quinn to be doing at the moment, but he had a soft spot in his heart for pretty girls, especially those that had lost their parents as he had. Temporarily forgetting why he had come here Quinn lowered his defenses and was perfectly honest with Aisia.

“I also fancy myself a bit of the hands on sort, but I prefer to work with biological motor function rather than its more mechanical counterpart.”
He said. “Most people don’t fully comprehend just how powerful the human body really is, even without E powers." Quinn felt the urge to digress onto the intricacies of each individual aspect of the human anatomy, but he restrained himself for fear of putting the poor girl to sleep. “As for physical education classes, I’m sure you could partake of a wide variety of martial arts at any college. However, if becoming more physically apt is your main concern you won’t find a wider variety of fighting styles than on this campus.”

Quinn was beginning to feel like the tour guild he had walked in with, but it was true that this school had the most to offer in terms of physical training. “Although I would advise you that the most powerful individuals are defined by their mental capacity and tactical abilities first, and their brawn second. It would do you well to sharpen your mind along with your body. Besides you’re already in incredible shape.” He finished quickly looking her over.

"Say... would I really be troubling my cousin if I enrolled here?"

“Not at all.” he said comfortingly. “From what you've told me it sounds as if she would be more troubled if you refused her offer. By the way, who is your cousin if you don’t mind me asking? I imagine I’ll need to talk to her eventually to get enrolled here.”

Aisia wasn't surprised when he extolled on the courses at the Institute. She was surprised, however, when he mentioned that the human body was much stronger than most people credit it for, even without E powers. It seemed that they both shared the same mindset of doing what they could with the basics before using their powers.

As to his answer to whether or not she was troubling Liz, the answer was simple. "Not at all. From what you've told me it sounds as if she would be more troubled if you refused her offer. By the way, who is your cousin if you don’t mind me asking? I imagine I’ll need to talk to her eventually to get enrolled here."
"Ah, her name is Eliza Scott. But I don't think she has anything to do with enrollment procedures though, she just knows someone. Same with her boyfriend, I'm not sure exactly... what he does, to be honest," Aisia said. "But, I'll be sure to tell them about you though if it'll help."

She paused for a moment as they continued walking towards the art gallery, then went on a bit of a tangent. "You know... you're right though. About what you said regarding the mind and the body, I mean. I see too many Espers immediately using their powers to solve their problems when they could be solved normally without them. I mean... do they really have to flaunt their powers around like that? If there's a way that I can settle things with my own power, with what I can do, without magic, or super powers, wouldn't that be better?"

After all, it was her previous reliance on magic that nearly destroyed the happiness of the ones she loved, and she paid with a heavy price; her own existence.

"Though... even I can be guilty of that sometimes..." she sighed. "I just want to be able to be strong on my own."

She shook her head. "Ah... sorry. I shouldn't say such sad things, ehehe," she chuckled nervously. After all, she was here to tour the school, not engage in a philosophical and moral discussion about the use of one's powers. "Well, it looks like we're here," she said as they approached the art gallery doors.

OOC: Sorry for the delay, I've been a terrible combination of Ill and busy

Quinn listened quietly to Aisia as they walked, taking in the slight nuances and occasional contradictions that further aroused his suspicions. He mulled over their conversation thus far, attempting to puzzle together her past through the mannerisms she exhibited, but the pieces didn’t match up. This bothered Quinn as he was usually quick to discern the elements of a person’s past through subtle behavior traits. Aisia was quite the abnormality, even beyond her powers which she had avoided disclosing to him, normally the topic out of every SEED student’s lips. Much like he had avoided the topic as well.

"You know... you're right though." Aisia said "About what you said regarding the mind and the body, I mean. I see too many Espers immediately using their powers to solve their problems when they could be solved normally without them. I mean... do they really have to flaunt their powers around like that? If there's a way that I can settle things with my own power, with what I can do, without magic, or super powers, wouldn't that be better?"

In general, espers that Quinn had shared his feelings about personal ability with either shrugged it off as nonsense or ended up dead from the arguments that followed. Being agreed with was so new, it almost startled him, but Aisia’s irregularities were starting to become common place.

"Though... even I can be guilty of that sometimes..." she sighed."I just want to be able to be strong on my own.”

“Of course.” Quinn replied under his breath while lost in thought. “Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” He was reminded of a particular esper with delusions of grandeur. A regular nut-case who’s ranting would have been ignored had he not suddenly developed a knack for controlling the minds of others; just another reason why no one should be privileged with such abilities.

“We could make a stop by the gymnasium too if you like. I can teach you some of what I know about personal strength and the martial arts.” He said drifting in and out of thought. It had been awhile since he sparred with an esper, it could be good practice for the both of them. "That is of course if your interested."

"Ah... sorry. I shouldn't say such sad things, ehehe," she chuckled nervously. "Well, it looks like we're here,"

Quinns mind snapped back to the task at hand. “Great, let’s take a look at what they have on display." He opened up the plain oak door and led the way into a relatively small room for a single collection of art. The floor was a white and grey marble in diamond formations which complemented the drab currents bordering the large window on the far wall. Currently the room was lit with sunlight but tacky brass sconces holding cheap electrical candles for eliminated the room during the night. Each wall held about five evenly spaced pictures of varying nature, protected by fine silver ropes held up between posts fastened to the floor. In the center of the room was a statue that Quinn did not recognize as well as two tables topped with enclosed glass boxes housing a few local artifacts of minor importance.

“Hmmm, not quite what I was expecting from the finest art super humans have to offer.” Quinn said as he began walking towards the closest painting.

OOC: Lol, it's cool.

"Hmmm, not quite what I was expecting from the finest art super humans have to offer," Quinn said as he approached a nearby painting. Aisia just couldn't help but sweatdrop at that, as she sort of had an inkling that he wasn't the sort of person who thought much about this world's humans - specifically the super powered ones - in general.
Maybe she just didn't see herself as much of a super powered human as she truly was. After all, the ability to traverse multiple universes unassisted was hardly what you'd call unimpressive in and of itself.

"I wonder about that," she chuckled. "After all, isn't there a phrase that goes, 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder'? Maybe they were good for its time and are studied now for future reference. But then again, art is supposed to be original, so relying on a past work kind of seems like cheating..."
... Ergh.

If there was anything that she hated, it was difficult things. Trying to keep up with a critical analysis of this art stuff was exactly that and just made her feel like an idiot without knowing the basics.
"I don't know... I hardly know why they made these in the first place," she whimpered. "If it were you, what would you make?"

Speaking softly under his breath Quinn continued to critique the paintings lining the walls, moving slowly from one to the next. “Short, heavy brush strokes, vivid colors sort of a surreal Van Gogh type style.” He spoke aloud not addressing anyone in particular. “The jaw is too pronounced and draws attention away from the face. Good shadowing around the ears and eyes though. Decent for an oil portrait I suppose.” Taking in the smaller details of the piece and systematically moving on to the next.
It was a tactful photograph of a woman, clearly distraught for numerous reasons implied throughout the image, pulling away or placing a plain white mask, devoid of emotion, in front of her face. He stood there gazing at it, completely silent for quite some time.

"I wonder about that," she chuckled. "After all, isn't there a phrase that goes, 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder'? Maybe they were good for its time and are studied now for future reference. But then again, art is supposed to be original, so relying on a past work kind of seems like cheating..."

Slowly he peeled his eyes away from the art and looked back at Aisia immediately noticing her discomfort in this environment. For some reason she was trying far too hard to sound competent on the subject, surly not to impress him. Perhaps she simply felt slightly alienated by her new crowed of peers, or perhaps she was simply much more put off from art then he had originally ascertained. Quinn also realized that he may have been getting a little too comfortable around her as she seemed to be slightly intimidated by him now. Regardless of the reasons why she suddenly became apprehensive he decided it would be best to stay on his toes and watch what he said from now on.

“You’re absolutely right; beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The arts historical background or means of inspiration don’t really add up to much if you don’t like the final product.”

"I don't know... I hardly know why they made these in the first place," she whimpered. "If it were you, what would you make?"

“I can only assume that other artists draw for the same reasons that mechanics fix cars; because they enjoy it, at least I hope they do. As for my art, I tend to draw portrait sketches for the most part, but that’s a completely different art form I suppose.” Quinn replied. He’d noticed the building frustration in Aisia’s tone and was beginning to feel as if he was force feeding philosophy and ethical studies to her without having done anything but bring her to an art gallery.

“Maybe you’re thinking about the meaning of the art too much.” he said trying to calm her down. “Why don’t you try forgetting about what you’ve learned about art critiquing and simply look at it and pick out things you like? No one else’s opinion should matter to you but your own, and if you like what you see then great, but if you don't then don't worry about it, just move on to something you do.” Quinn suddenly realized he was terrible at consoling people.
