Those observing the laboratory from outside could only observe the flashes of light that illuminated the windows every few seconds. The sounds emanating from within, however, were much more descriptive. There were howls and yips of a canine persuasion supported by a chorus of screeches and caws from what one must assume were birds and monkeys. For some reason, when one looked in the window all they could see was impenetrable darkness, and the flashes of light were so blindingly bright that nothing else could be determined. Inside a tall dark figure sat cross legged on a office chair, spinning in it every once in a while, while a dim blue light from his computer screen illuminated him. Even as he spun he jotted down notes on a small notebook resting on his knees. As he did this he muttered to himself, only pausing to chew on the end of his pen. "Must observe for ergonomic functionality... Multiple factors...E's...personality compatibility...ease of control..." he mumbled, following random trails of thought. He suddenly dropped the pen on the desk and began a frantic typing, dozens of words a second poured out onto the screen, numbers flew by, and diagrams and graphs flashed across the monitor. |

"I sense a disturbance..." "In the force?" "...No you idiot. I sense something like..." "A million minds crying out in terror then suddenly being silenced?" "How long are you going to keep doing star wars quotes?" "Only the sith deal in absolutes." ".... I-" "Punch it Chewie! Okay.. I'm done." "...Thank god. Anyhow. It seems like it's coming form over there.. From what I can tell.. It seems like something weird is going on in the center of knowledge.." Beaumont said planting his hands in his sides. "I'm a little afraid to-" "Fear leads to anger.. Anger to-" "AFRAID to go get myself involved in this sort of nonsense when it doesn't really pertain to me.." Beaumont said with a sigh.t "It'd be nice if I could just.. You know.. Sneak in invisibly.. Find out whats going on.. Sneak back out and then use the information we'd gathered in a compiled form to formulate a plan of action but then that just seems like so much work.." Beaumont said with a smirk. "Yeah you're right. It's easier just to knock and ask.." "... I was being sarcastic. Turn invisible and sneak in there." "What? Fuck no. I go invisible for panty raids and missions only. This is neither of those things. I'm not going invisible.." Cypriss said munching on a bag of chips noisily. "P... Panty ... you sneak into people-" "That's hardly the point right now Monty." ".... I.. .I think it might be worth becoming the point. That sounds really illegal.." Beaumont said in a mumble... However Cypriss had already left him behind, walking over the the room to check on this mysterious tihng Beaumont was making a fuss over. He felt that perhaps if this were a movie lightning might crash dsramatically in the background to signal his foreboding meet and greet with this mystery ma- CRASH Cypriss turned around, surprised. "L...Lightning..? For real..? This.. This could be risky.." He said reaching out for the door knob.. Meanwhile Beaumont stood up, having had fallen into a trashcan due to his dark crappy shoes. He groaned a bit limping up behind Cypriss. "I can't believe elite stealth operative are knocking on the door. This is stupid. You're stupid." Edited by Cypriss, May 19 2009, 01:36 PM.

Continuing on his quest to learn of the campus before school started, Charlie managed to find himself at the center of knowledge. He circled the building once before finding it rather boring. As he approached the front of it, he noticed his shoe was untied and bent to rectify that matter, when he suddenly heard voices. Well, he had always assumed he was crazy. The blonde shrugged them off as he double-knotted the laces and then stood to continue to the front. With his hands in his pockets, he rounded the corner to see two boys. A clever smirk crossed the male's features, but he did not make his presence known to these two. If he was lucky enough, he could just sneak around them and then confront them later and tease them then. They were both extremely cute, one with silver hair, the other with dark brown. He remember Sasha and decided to steer clear of the brunette. It was curious though... because both of them wore glasses. Were they just cute, nerdy friends? Well, that might not be possible, seeing as how one was calling the other stupid, and it looked as if they were fighting about going within the building itself. Charlie wondered why... Green eyes turned to look into the windows of the building when a flash of light occurred. He quickly shielded his eyes, as that was quite unexpected. What was happening within? "Ugh... what is this?" He winced as the light went away, and as he peered inside, realized it was all dark. "Can't see anything..." Charlie muttered to himself, "I wonder." Delicate fingers rested on his chin as he stood in thought, his other hand on his hip. |

"...." Cypriss turned to Beaumont with a smile. "See, Monty? No one is home! Your fears are useless and exaggerated." He said flashing a thumbs up. "...Idiot.,... IDIOT! I can read minds stupid so don't be stupid! Of course there's someone in there.. .Though.. The thoughts are quite frantic and confusing.. Reading minds is useless when it's all stuff you can't comprehend..... Ah!" Beaumont spun around on his heel. "A predator!" Beaumont shouted a bit too loud. "..Predator.. As in an animal who wants to consume us..? OLr as in a child predator.." "Both, in different ways." "W... We're not children Monty.." "B-Beaumont.." Monty said adjusting his glasses embarrassed. Right! He was an adult now! So this sexual deviant was just a homosexual and not a molester! No No... Sexual deviant, how cruel is that? This person is a normal homosexual he should be more open minded.. He was progressively minded person who believed in human rights... a-although if this person keeps thinking's embarrassing things like 'he's cute' or things like that it'd be hard to be composed. It was flustering for the generally business-like Beaumont. "You know.. I'm noticing a pattern... When it's just us Monty is fine. But with other people it's Beaumont... Sheesh, it's not that intimate a nickname that you need to be embarrassed.. It's pretty normal actually..." Cypriss sighed and glanced to the other end of the hallway. "Well.. I don't feel like taking pictures so it must not be a woman.. It's my sixth sense you know... We should probably ignore it and focus on this door issue..." "I say we split up." Monty said nodding. "I'll go talk to the person watching us and you go into the spooky lab with an odd feeling of malevolence.." ".... yeah that seems fair.." Cypriss said sarcastically. "Glad you agree!" Monty said walking off quickly. "...well then.." Cypriss said turning and stepping into the room quickly. "Anybody home..?" Cypriss said as he entered the room. The room was pitch black except. There was no sound except for a light tapping, all the animal sounds seeming to have disappeared. The darkness was palpable, and the tapping seemed to come from every direction, with a common beat. There was a squeak and a light clicking noise started, followed by the sound of an electrical discharge. The room lit up in a flash of light, and in the few seconds before falling into darkness a few things were illuminated. In the center of the room, on a pedestal, sat a cage, and within it a little white rabbit. That seemed to be it. Above the rabbit was the strange light source. A powerful force of energy seemed to blow through the room. The door slammed shut behind Cypriss. The light switched on. Aside from the pedestal the room was almost empty. Most of the desks had been removed, and the teacher's desk was pushed back into a corner. The source of the light appeared to be a metal ball on the end of a rod that was crackling with electricity hanging from the ceiling...right over the rabbit's cage. |

The blonde watched as one of the boys made his way inside, while the other started walking towards him. He decided against being the first to speak as he watched Cypriss go. The door slammed behind the boy after another flash of bright light, at which Charlie shielded his eyes. When he blinked them open, he noticed the cage with the rabbit inside. Something felt horribly, horribly wrong about this whole thing. Charlie could feel his heart pounding in his chest, and the whole feeling that this lab place gave him... well, it simply gave him chills. It was then that he decided to speak to the one approaching him, "I wouldn't have let him go in there by himself, if I were you. It looks like he's in trouble." The blonde's voice was grave as he pointed inside the room at the electricity emitting ball above the rabbit's cage. "That does not look safe. Not one bit." He bit down on his lower lip, anxious to see what would happen, and dreading it all at once. |

The following events were pretty distressing. Bunnies, electrical orbs, lights off then on, it was all very dramatic and foreboding. And worse yet was that the mental signature he'd detected was nowhere to be found. Though the source of the odd feeling minds seemed to be discovered. Animal minds in distress.. Even so he had to wonder what the heck was going on here. Still, he had his own objective. Discovering who this OTHER mysterious person was. And he was being directly addressed so by the person so it seemed prudent to go ahead and deal with that. The person was of course worried about these odd events, which was natural. As a person with no mind reading their actions might seem odd. But with Cypriss' level of training there were very few situations that were beyond his capacity to handle. "Humm." Beaumont folded his arms and turned back. "Yes it's rather ominous." Beaumont said nodding. "But my partner can handle anything.. He's extremely talented." He pushed his glasses up on his nose, narrowing his gray eyes as he eyed the specimen. "Besides, he is able to escape rather easily if the need should arise." He planted his his hands in his sides and turned back to the man. "So who are you..?" "......." 'Wait, I feel Something... familiar?' ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The lights gave him a bit of a start but that only served to put him in his more serious mindset. The sudden appearance of the rooms every nook was a sensory overload. A single desk and... a bunny in a cage? Cypriss facepalmed, hard. He approached it and sighed a bit. "Was this the mind he sensed...? What's going on here? Why has this classroom been altered this way?" He said cautiously approaching the cage a bit more. "Well.. if its a trap.." Cypriss said, realizing that the sparking electric metal ball was more than just decoration most likely. He should always use due caution when it was possible. Lets see, in his pocket had two quarters, some string, and a piece of candy in a wrapper. He took a piece of candy from his pocket and tossed it at the cage. If the cage was electrified the candy would snap crackle pop and that'd be his wake up call to be careful in trying to move it. Wait... Why was he trying to move it? It wasn't like it was his job to protect endangered rabbits. Sheesh! He was really getting swept up in the current of this setting. The electrical ball was mysterious but this all had to serve some purpose, right? Still.. It never hurt to err to the side of caution. Beaumont's telepathy was nothing to scoff at. "Anyone here..?" |

The candy bounced off the cage harmlessly, though the rabbit seemed a bit startled. The little creature huddled in the corner farthest from it's new assailant in fear of more aggression. There was a click and a buzz and the momentary screech of feedback. "Please, don't open the door," a voice reverberated throughout the room, seeming to come from all over. It had an electrical ring to it. "I don't want the rabbit getting out." The voice was coming from the school's speakers. Usually used for communications from the office, it was normally broadcast across the entire school. However, the voice did not escape the room, and the people outside could not hear the man's request. The shutters on the windows folded shut with the whir of electricity that indicated an automated function. There was another click, and a bang. Smoke puffed from the corners of the small steel cage and it fell apart. The rabbit dashed, utterly terrified for numerous reasons. |

The shutters closed, as if trying to block the view from outside the classroom. Charlie jumped back, his hands up in a defensive way. With his heart pounding into overdrive, he knew there was no time for 20 questions with the boy beside him. He rushed to he door and put his hands on the handle, ready to pull it open. He looked back at Beaumont, "This does not feel right at all." In fact, the aura of this place was getting dingier and dingier the longer he looked upon it, "He's going to need help sooner or later. I'd rather it be later, but we should go in there and see what's happening for ourselves." With that, the blonde tore the door open and went within it, leaving Beaumont in the hall. The first change he noticed since the blinds shut was the rabbit running towards him. With as much precision and speed he could muster in a situation like this, Charlie used his telekinesis to lift the rabbit up and into his arms. Now, he was gently coddling the poor frightened thing, petting it and uttering soothing words to it, although he was sure it wouldn't understand. Green eyes scanned the room as he held the creature still. It was shivering, and who could blame it? This place was even frightening for the blonde boy just standing there. He couldn't imagine what it would be like if he was trapped in a cage in this place. His eyes settled on Cypriss, and he sighed in relief, "What happened? Do you know what's going on in here?" He looked back down at the rabbit in his arms, "Poor thing... it was almost frightened to death." |

Cypriss glanced around with a frown. "Not here..?" He planted his hands in his sides. "What a let down... Just an individual who is cruel to animals from far away... Not exactly an interesting case..." He turned to the door as the new person entered, Charlie. "Hurm.. A feminine spirit.. but sadly a male... I don't want to photograph this one at all.." He said to himself.. Beaumont moved into the room with his arms folded. He turned, taking off his shoe and placing it in the door so tat it wouldn't randomly slam shut behind them. "I'll begin the search for this individual.." He said glancing to Cypriss. "Is that okay.?" "NNh.. I'm not getting anywhere on my own..." Cypriss said turning to Charlie. "My friend here is an esper with an incredibly wide range.. Some people say his talent is extraordinairy...." Beaumont took a knee and slowly began to expand his psychic abilities outward. If the man was withing a football field's range in any direction then he could detect his mind... |

Most parents schooled their children on the dangers of strange animals, but this usually applied to cats, dogs, and the even bigger dogs with long sharp teeth. Rarely if ever did the parents think to warn their children about little white rabbits. This was an error on the parent's end, and Makkuro sought to correct it. What they should have taught their children was that one should be wary of strange cats, dogs, bigger dogs with sharp teeth, and any animal that has clearly spent time in a lab. As Charlie would quickly find out, the final category on the list was both the least likely, and most dangerous option. The rabbit's hair, as well as that of the young man holding it began to stand on end. There was a crackle of electricity as and the smell of burnt hair. Lightning coursed through the body of the rabbit (the creature did not seem particularly phased by this) and into the arms of the young man holding it. With a single bound the small white creature freed itself and landed a few feet from door. The next bound carried it through the propped open door into the hallway. It slipped around a corner, and then it was gone. --- Beaumont did in fact succeed in detecting a presence. In fact he detected numerous presences. What could all these thinking minds be doing congregated in a school of all place? It was very strange indeed. Be that as it may, the minds throughout the school did not stand out from one another in any particular way. Curiously the mind of the rabbit did not seem present anywhere in the school. The loud speaker blared as the voice range out, "Ability to follow instructions...limited. I asked you not to leave the door open. Now the rabbits out," the voice said with a sigh. There was a pause, then another, exasperated, sigh. "I suppose you'll have to go and find it now, won't you?" |

Even if the rabbit did not leap out of his arms, Charlie was sure he would have thrown it had it not shocked him in such a way. He pouted as he looked at his bangs, floating helplessly out of place. The static from the rabbit had caused his hair to get messed up, and flattening it was out of the question. That would only make it worse. Despite knowing this, the boy couldn't help rubbing his arms. The bunny hurt him, and all he was trying to do was help it. Charlie glared at the ceiling as the voice told them to go catch the rabbit. What was going on here? |

"... I don't sense him anywhere nearby... Not within the entire range.." Beaumont said sounding increasingly annoyed.. "So a mysterious guy with a rabbit in a cage that can shoot electricity has asked us to catch his rabbit from a distance away... We could run away and sicne he's so far away I doubt he could catch us.." Cypriss said with a grin. "The worst part is that I can't even detect the rabbit..." Beaumont said rubbing his chin. "It could be.. that rabbit.." He stroked his chin. "Either way, let's focus on the issue at hand... Even if the person ordering us around is suspicious we can't VERIFY that they are evil or dangerous...." He said rubbing his chin. "And we know for a fact the rabbit is dangerous.. So I guess for now we'd best do as he asks and capture it..." "I don't like it.." Cypriss said with a huff. "... From an emotional standpoint I agree with you, I say we say screw it and leave this guy behind as a bad memory.. But from a logical standpoint it's impractical to hold a grudge based solely on mysterious actions and his secrecy while it's perfectly logical to detain the rabbit..." He said with a nod. Beaumont glanced to Charlie. "So... you're already involved but I won't hold it against you if you opt to leave.." |

Charlie shook his head as he turned his gaze to Beaumont, "Naw. I'm going to come along. After all, I can use my telekinesis to pull the rabbit towards us anyways. That is, if we spot it." The blonde offered up a grin, but wasn't sure how much good that would do for them in this situation. With his hands in his pockets, he walked over to the door that lead out of this place, "Shall we, gentlemen?" |

"And so the Party has been formed," the voice said over the loud speakers, a hint of mirth snuck into each of his words. There was the sound of knuckles cracking and a little feedback from the speakers, then the voice said in an even more jovial tone, "If I were looking for a white rabbit, I'd ask the Mad Hatter." There was a short pause, and the sound of static emanated from the speakers, then it cut off. "Meet me in my lab, and we will discuss how to proceed. Otherwise I doubt you'll be able to figure out how to catch my little bunny," the voice said taking a slightly sinister intonation. "Mr. Beaumont, was it? Why don't you lead the way? I'm sure given some time someone with skills such as yours will be able to find me. It will certainly be much easier then trying to follow directions..." he trailed off. "I'll give you a hint. My emotion is 'mild annoyance'," he said, as if giving them a warning. |
