These are the General Rules. They regard every post on the board and apply to every player. 1. Keep it clean. No porn, warez, or huge amounts of language on the board. If you want to swear, that's fine, but if I start seeing paragraph-long curses that's not good. There's a line between expressing yourself and too much information. 2. Proper English, please. On the in-character forums, smileys are NEVER allowed, nor is IM-speak. You can use smileys in the out-of-character forums, but leave them there. 3. No Godmodding. IE, don't take control of some else's faction in your post. If they're supposed to say something, let them say it. If they're supposed to defend against your attack, let them do it in their own post. 4. That being said, the Admin is God. The Godmodding rule does not apply to me. Should you break a rule, I will more than likely decide to inflict an in-game punishment instead of banning you altogether. This punishment will usually be a random event that occurs, such as an asteroid strike or a rebellion, that deprives you of some of your money and property. This strikes me as a much fairer punishment than banning someone. 5. Under no circumstances will any players post false dice rolls for the RISK war system. You will be banned for doing this. If another player suspects it, or wishes to ensure it does not happen, the admin can take over by request and do the RISK system himself for both sides to ensure fairness in a particular thread. 6. Look-alikes, maybe, Klingons, no. I understand that it can be hard to come up with an original race, and so if some characteristics of your race are human-like (bipedal, slight physical resemblances), I will permit this. But try something new! How about bird-like races? Or intelligent sacs of gas that live in gas giants? The sky is truly the limit, but there are certain things I will never allow: direct rips from TV, books, video games, and the like. That is intellectual theft, and all it does is show that you lack the creativity to create your own race or faction. 7. In the same vein, don't create a faction of an already-created species unless the player in control of that faction gives permission. For example, if you want to create a human faction, contact the human leader first. 8. Fuck realism. We don't need scientific proof before someone decides to create a new weapon or physics lesson before he pulls off some stunt in a spaceship. If it seems plausible, it's not a crime to do it in Project Bishop. 9. Just one thing...
