Items; Do you have any good ideas for them?

We've already got quite a few new moves and abilities; however, we're sadly lacking in items.
So, does anyone have any ideas for some new ones? Be it Berries, Pokéballs or hold items, we'd like to know what you guys want! But try to make your suggestions useful, as not all ideas will be getting in...

Well, I was thinking. I don't know much about Amethyst's origin or storyline, but when I hear the word "amethyst" (especially in a Pokémon game), and I see that Deathbringer Pokémon, then this just reminds me of darkness, and chaos, etc.

I remember that one time, I watched a Pokémon movie called "Voice of the Forest", starring Celebi. I remembered that they used a type of Poké Ball called the "Shadow Ball", if I'm not mistaken. Maybe this could be available in the game only once, just like a Master Ball.

I was thinking that it could catch a Pokémon with a 100% catch rate, but the downside being that it will disobey you very often, until you have made a friendship with it. Or, maybe, when a Pokémon is caught with it, it turns into a Shadow Pokémon (like in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness)?

Here's some idea:

"Magnet Ball"
It has the same effect as Dive Ball but Affects electric type

"Ring Bell"
A hold item that increases the happines of baby pokemon

I have to agree with the Shadow Ball idea, but like in XD: Gale of Darkness' Togepi, the Pokemon will have an extremely hard time gaining happiness, so Return (one of the best moves you can find) becomes one of the worst for the Pokemon caught in this Shadow Ball, and Frustration takes its place (as well as the near-constant disobeying until max happiness). I think the Shadow Ball would be an okay idea with it implemented like that.

What about Shadow Cloak? Its an item avaivable for the 3 Shadow Beasts that powers up all there stats. Mystery Gift Item Only

Maybe this could work...

Hard Candy - Increases happiness in all pokés +1 for every 100 steps.

Pokéball Customizer - Can change the color of any pokéball.

Fishing Net - Cuts pokémon encountering rate by half while surfing on a pokémon.

An Idea for an Item/Move Combination:

Rock Breaker (with a few effects)
-Only works if the pokemon knows Rock Smash.
-Gives Immunity to Rock Storm.
- If the pokemon holding this item knows the move rock smash, all Rock type attacks are broken (negated) if this pokemon is on the field and the attacker takes 1/4 damage of their attack stat as recoil.
-If this pokemon is released while stealth rocks are set up, the pokemon immediately destroys them upon entering the field.
If stealth rock is broken..
-All pokemon other than the Rock Breaker take 1/8 damage.
*or*
- A Rock Storm starts for 5 turns. The Rocks will inflict damage at the end of each turn. The base damage is 6.25%, and is affected by the target's susceptibility to Rock; Pokémon that are 4x weak to Rock will receive 25% max HP damage; 2x weak to Rock will result in 12.5%; a 2x resist will take 3.125%, and any Pokémon with a 4x resistance to Rock and or has Rock Breaker Item/ability will not take damage. Stone Edge is 100% accurate (and has a chance to hit through Detect and Protect equal to 100% minus the accuracy against a non-Protecting opponent). Moonlight, Morning Sun, and Synthesis heal 1/4 of the user's maximum HP. The Rock Storm ends if Rapid Spin is used.

^^These two effects are randomly determined after Stealth Rocks are broken.


A good item would be a speed booster..

Anti-Gravity ball
- speed is boosted by x1.1 or
- speed is boosted by 1.2, Defense and Special Defense are lowered by x1.2


Lots of great ones that haven't been done yet could come from pokemon mystery dungeon.
One example could be Doom Seed.. lowers level by 1 so lv100's can be EV trained again.
There are tons of items there than can be released into this game.

But that would make electric pokemon invincible! That'd make that game WAY too easy, so it wouldn't even be remotely fun any more. It's what's called "breaking the game".

Also, Wichu, I'm reposting some of my item ideas from the Pokecommunity forum.

Name: Bug Spray.
Effect: If the holder makes contact with a Bug Pokemon, the Bug type becomes poisoned.

I also made a key item.

Name: Ancient Text
Description: An ancient book that seems thousands of years old. It's written in an ancient language.
Details: When you get the book (preferably at the end of a huge cave), you need to take it to somebody who can translate the language for you. This person should be in the game's "important building" next to the fossil restoration guy (if you have one, that is. if you don't, just put them near scientists). In R/S/E, this was the Devon Corp. Building. In R/B/Y, this was the Silph Co. Building. When translated, it will tell you the story of the game's legendaries. In D/P, this was the story of Arceus creating everything.

i think that you could also make a Roundabout-wheel so when not in battle you can evolve a pokemon to any evolution its already evoleed into unlimited times how ever it can only be used on 1 pokemon then it crumbles to dust and that pokemon can still evolve/devolve

EX. give it to an eevee and then it crumbles allowing the eevee to evolve through normal means then the ability of the wheel lets it de-evolve outside of battleand evolve through normal means again allowing it to be eevee or ethier pokemon it evolved into.

How about a happiness based evolutionary stone cause it's kinda really hard to get the happiness it needs to evolve
