I noticed some auto-play video w/ audio on the Pushing Daisies S2 review. This is totally not cool and it makes me flinch straight towards my browser kill button. I would recommend against this kind of thing, since it is pretty obnoxious. An opt-in video is a nice option to have, just not something that starts screaming through my speakers when I bring up a page. |

We'll look into that. The studios like for these videos to be included (at least a couple of them), but I'm sure we can request them to link/send us videos that don't auto start. It's for promoting their movies so I'm sure they (studios) can work something out. |

hey Squid! the videos on the reviews have been at studio request, as we don't follow any set template, and can (and will) do such things. we only pull the videos that they email to us. if they request a video in any future release, we will bring it up to them, that auto play is massively annoying. we had a thought on putting 2 videos on a review, but the thought of dual auto start videos was cringe-inducing. thanks for the suggestion, and we will get right on it! |

Thanks for the responses guys. I like how embedded YouTube links work, where it's pretty obvious it's a video with a big play button overlayed on top of it waiting to be clicked before it does anything. The Pushing Daisies one was under the fold for me and it took a few seconds to figure out what was going on, so I think at least putting them at the top of the review where it can be immediately eyeballed would be better. |
