This is what I hate about a large select group of gun owners. They feel a shiny piece of fucking metal is worth killing over. They'd rather kill, or die, than lose their shiny fucking piece of metal.

This may seem like an extreme single occasion, but this sentiment is spread out across the US. Right now with the depression, and the other shootings going on, like in New York, these stupid fucks are only creating the case against themselves.

Here's a clue: Gun rights. It's an amendment, sure. You can have your shiny fucking pieces of metal. But get this!!!!! There was also an amendment that banned drinking. It got removed, with another. Don't think that your "rights" are that iron clad. The moment said pieces of metal are more valued to you than another person's life, you are officially scum.

with the economy as fucked as it is, we're only going to see more of this shit, random violence, murder/suicides. these very same people went out and bought guns like wildfire when Obama got elected. so, great. you have your shiny metal. even if there's a ban put on future sales, you have yours. it'd be IMPOSSIBLE to get every gun rounded up and removed from every single person's possession, so these paranoid nitwits really are just the biggest bunch of whiny babies in history.

Yup, and yesterday some dumb fuck killed his 5 children, because his wife left him for another man. Dude had ZERO balls to go out and get himself another woman, so he killed his children. The good news is he killed himself.

I dont want to get into some gun rights argument and I dont even own one. With that said "assault" is a behavior, not a device. If they took the guns people would kill other people with swords, kitchen knifes, or big rocks to the head. Some people are total scumbags but it isnt the guns fault.

Don't get "stuck on stupid"
Well, here’s my 2 cents on the subject. The Obama fear factor aside… gun ownership in general saves lives. Our justice system is what's fucked-up. I support gun rights because once you take them away; law abiding citizens will be sitting ducks for the criminals. Why? because criminals don’t buy guns, and therefore a gun ban won’t keep guns out of criminals’ hands. A gun is simply a tool, like a match. Arsonists use matches to torch buildings, is the match at fault? Should we ban matches? Absolutely not. We can’t pass laws prohibiting you from having and using matches. A match has no mind of its own, and neither does a gun. People shoot people – period.

I like guns on an aesthetic level, but I've never fired one, yet I know basic protocol. Hell, me and the GF are going to take lessons, and she wants one for self-defense.

It's the original point and click interface.

Nice to see I have some fellow 2nd amendment supporters out there. Honestly, I am a huge stickler on safety. Gun safety is extremely easy to teach and enforce. I have been shooting for a while I love anything by Smith and Wesson (1911, .357, 9mm), Colt (1911, AR-15), Ruger (.357), Browning (.22 and 9mm). I am a big handgun shooter. I taught my gf to shoot recently and she shoots quite well. There have been different foreign military leaders say it would be crazy to attack the United States, because there is a firearm behind every blade of grass. Just remember, the next time someone says guns kill people, spoons make people fat. Also, two of our generals did studies as far as home defense goes right before Obama was elected. They found that crime was highest where guns were heavily restricted or illegal (pistols), and recommended that more citizens that were permitted to do so, purchase a firearm chambered in either .40 or .45 and teach their significant other to shoot as well. Also develop a plan of defense inside your home. Also for those who feel safe with the police, the average police response takes roughly 10 minutes. My house is about 9 minutes driving the speed limit from the police station and one night we had two teenagers messing with our vehicles, took the police 30 minutes to get on site. Just some food for though.
