gonna need a sub when i move. the room will be 15x17. i was going to go with the av123 mfw-15 but its a lil on the pricey side for me. what are u guys using and would it fit my needs? i do like heavy bass so i need something that WILL def fill the room. ill probaly be looking to spend anywhere from 500-800 if it can be justified. also is it always better to build ur own? i do have experience building subwoofer enclosures. |

I have the 10" version of this, which is amazing - but the 12" fit in your price range. http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/synergy-sub-12.aspx Read about it, the performance is awesome. I love how the sub is facing down to give your whole room the 'rumbling' effect. Klipsch also comes with a five year warranty - and I've seen them replace more than fix. Also, all of their speakers are made with rubber cones - not plastic or paper which a lot of speaker companies have gone to (may not include subs). |

Randell, you'll be very pleased with it. The thing is amazing compared to what I used to rock (a non-powered kenwood). |

I wouldn't recommend building unless your great at stuff like that. Reasons for that are: time in building it, dynamics in making it sound right not just loud, no warranty if anything happens, and you have nobody to blame when something goes wrong ( )
