The sun light slowly made it's way up, gradually seeping light into the dark cavern of sleeping lions. Simba, now awoken, got up from the ground. He stretched, putting his front legs forward and crouching down. He opened his large jaws, yawning showing his large ivories. Simba then shut them tight, standing up properly once more. He began walking around all the lioness, weaving his way to not intrupt them. Simba now reached the entrance of the cavern, walking further along. He walked up the steeping rock which made Pride Rock famous throughout the lands. The light had seeped upwards, now climbing higher and seeping into the cavern. Simba walked along, until he had reached the very end of the rock.
The wind blew calmly, sending small seeds, feathers and pollen to be carried around with it as it passed Simba. He closed his orbs for a moment, inhaling deeply and exhaling shortly. Simba opened his orbs now to look accross to the plains of Africa. It was beautiful in the morning light, the sun touching almost everything with it's rays. Simba gazed around the whole of he landscape and into the distance, seeing the outlands still in faint darkness. Simba's mane blew gently with the calm wind, as he slowly flicked his tail about behind him. A smile crept up upon his face, happiness was something Simba found almost every day.

In the back of the den where the pride slept, was young Kiara. She nuzzled gently against her mate, Kovu, wishing that he would wake up already. It had been an hour or so since the princess had woken up and been unable to fall asleep again. Of course there were things other the lay here she could be doing. After all it was probably another glorious morning outside, but she hated getting up an going out alone, and she was quite certain that she was the only one awake at the moment. Or so she thought.
Then she heard the soft sounds of someone padding through the den towards the cavern's opening. Curiously Kiara turned her head to see who else was awake so early and smiled as she saw a very familiar form exiting. Carefully, though quickly, she rushed through the maze of lionesses between her and the exit. Once she was finally out of the darkness the princess bounded up next to the other lion. "Good morning, Daddy," she said in usual cheerful tone.

Suddenly, the sound of pounding rhythmetic sounds came from behind him.. and the sound of someone's breath too. Simba looked round his shoulder slightly, to see Kiara standing by his side. Simba smiled, knowing now that it wasn't some evil maniac coming to attack him. He looked forward once more, his orbs flicking around the landscape once more. "Good morning, Kiara." He said, watching the sun now light up the outlands. He turned his head round to the side, looking at Kiara's features. "How are you today then?" Simba said, in an up-beat tone. He looked back out to the landscape before them, sighing he lowered his rump to sit down.
Simba flickered his tail accross to his withers, tickling his fur with the tip of his tail. The wind slowly blew once more, then a distant sound of elephants awakening and many other creature's wakening too bustled through-out the vast landscape before them both. A large flock of small birds appeared suddenly flying in motion, forming together from other tree's. They flew around some before flying above Simba and Kiara pretty low. Simba ducked, crouching slightly. He laughed aloud, looking over to Kiara to see her reactions. The birds whistled and twittered loudly to each other as they seemed to fly above them in a large horde.

Nala had gone for a very careful run, when she left her mate and daughter were asleep but in the distance she saw the land. She didn't go off there lands, she left there lands only when Simba was with her, or other lionesses, she was breathing hard as she ran a lot quicker. She stopped for a moment, her ears twitching as she looked up, a kind smile seen on her face, she was so very happy they were awake. She took off again and finally went up the steps to the rock and stopped sighing some.
"Simba, Kiara" She said happily as she slowly padded her way up to them, she nuzzled her daughter lovingly as a good mother and smiled even more with Simba and nuzzled against him, her tail wagging a little happily. Her ears twitched a little bit as she licked her mate. She loved simba very much, after the death of his father she knew he still had moments when he missed him horribly. But every day they wake up that is a respect to his father, because if they were to give up and just die he would be disappointed.

The birds above flew by quickily, it seemed that he was the only one actually admired by the fact a flock would fly so close. He cleared his throat and stood up properly, seeing something move quickily in the corner of his eye. Simba looked round to see Nala bounding up the steps. He smiled, looking round his other shoulder as Nala approached and spoke. He then felt the warmth off of Nala's body as she nuzzled him. Simba raised his head slightly, his head still facing Nala and Kiara though. "Morning Nala. Where did you run off to then?" He said, rather concerningly.
Simba then felt Nala's tongue on his face, hot and warm. He smiled still, lowering his head to nuzzle Nala's face and rub his cheek against hers. Simba then lifted his head and looked out to see the scenery before them once more. The whole lands was now lit with sun-light. Most of the animals awake, he heard stirring from behind.. some of the lioness' has woken up he presumed. Simba took a deep sigh, then looked round to Nala to hear of her reply. Momentarilly forgetting that he actually asked something...

Nala smiled enjoying the feel of him close to her, she yawned a bit "Oh nothing much really, I woke up early and decided to go for a run Simba, I was hoping to get here before you and Kiara woke but I see I was longer then I meant to be" She sighed. "I hope I didn't worry you, I never go any where else unless your with me or the other lionesses so you can be assured I wasn't any place I shouldn't be" She nuzzled against him.
