Was watching the news tonight, and it had a brief article on "1000's of new species discovered in South East Asia," as cool as that was and the fact they mentioned a spider the size of a dinner plate, they showed a shot of a Desmoxytes purpurosea....... which to most of us, is just a centipede (I was just being clever with my new found google search ).Anyway, what make the Desmoxytes purpurosea interesting, is that it's a bright pink, sorta hairy weird arsed centipede who excretes cyanide!! Cyanide of all bloody things!! Any way, linky linky.... The article on the 1ooo's found (scroll down a bit) http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/12/15/gumbrechts-green-pit-vipe_n_151114.html A little article and a link on Arachnoboards: http://www.arachnoboards.com/ab/showthread.php?t=125323 Cool huh!! |
