Mattblackgod's world has places where the forests have returned...in these remote places the Wolf is king... I finally have enough wolves to keep some of my northern expeditions busy.... I picked them up off evilbay for £1 painted, which is better than paying GW prices. The paint jobs are not mine, I just rebased them to fit my setting. Edited by mattblackgod, Oct 7 2017, 01:11 PM.

Some more nasties for the Wastelands.... Giant Rad Scorpion!   This was a toy bug. I gave it a wash. This monster will be causing a few problems out in the wastelands and I hope to roll various heros out to kill it.  More Dinos for food or just to upset various encounters!   Toys again. All they got was a touch up, a wash and a bit of basing. They are quite heavily armed and armoured so they will make an adventurers day difficult. I plan to have my dunger and dino herd mixing together like you see on the African Savanna. It will make hunting more fun! Giant Mutant Dire Wolf of Doooooooommmmm!  This was a D&D vampire Dire wolf. I decided that he would also make a good wasteland nasty for my heros to run into or maybe leading mutant dog or wolf packs. He will also provide me with a quest for my heroes and adventurers. Mutant Salamanders or Geckos....   Toys again. I got all these critters for £1. I gave them a brown wash to tone them down and pick out the details. The I added the eyes. More inspiration from Fallout. These will be infesting various areas. They may be part of a hunting mission or a clearance mission. They may also be kept as a nasty surprise. The best thing about all these nasties...altogether they cost me about £5. Who says wargaming needs to be expensive? Edited by mattblackgod, Oct 7 2017, 01:12 PM.

I have a couple of smaller scorpions that came in the same set. When I dig them out I will add them to the set. Although I suspect you will need a tank to deal with them!

Out on MBW big cats prowl some of the wastelands...  This panther may be used as a nuisance in games. I am thinking about also using it as a sidekick animal for the Furrygothmother character. The mini is a elven cat from Mantic games. Edited by mattblackgod, Oct 7 2017, 01:13 PM.

Time for a spot of threadromancy.... I have been thinking about some bugs for my PA settings. You cant beat a swarm of giant rad roaches. So I invested in some of these critters...  "Bob! Look at these critters!!"  I found them on Amazon £1 for 10. So I got 30 for the suckers.  "Arrghhh! Loads of them!.....Bob....are you wearing Doc Cosmic's pheromone spray again??"  "Bob!! RUN!!" Mr. Clean sent a couple packages of those same lifelike roaches to me in some swaps we did a couple years back... I've been considering painting their antennas a Radiation Green or something of like! Have ya shown them to the WarLady yet? |
