The guy is a old Grendier Future Wars mini - EM4 Minis still carry the line! He is from my Junkers Faction - I am now swapping him for the chick from that faction/range. She will appear in future minis pics. :D

Converted how? This sounds interesting. The idea's I had was a two headed version (ala Fallout) or some dungers as riding beasts/beasts of burden.

More beasties from my world.

Here we see a Dire wolf about to eat a Vaultie explorer. The wolves live in the far northern reaches of Mattblack's world and rarely come into contact with human survivors. When they do they usually keep a respectful distance unless you threaten dinner or the cubs.
Posted Image

The wolf is a horrorclix Dire wolf rebased.

Wild dog packs are a constant danger in both the Wastelands and the ruins. They often catch the lone traveller unawares. The dogs may be also mutated in some way. Here we see Red ofthe Junkers Crew about to see off some wild dogs.

I am not sure who manufactured the doggies - all I know is they are from a 25mm fantasy wolf range. At 28mm they are small enough to look like mongrels. I also use these dogs as mutts hanging around human settlements.

Out in the wastes often mothers use the threat ofthe Roachman as a threat to keep their children in line. But it is not a fable. These strange mutant beasts are often found in tunnels and ruins. They hunt alone and like human flesh. Their carapice shell makes them difficult to kill. Want some futher bad new - loud noises attracts them.....so watch your back in a fire fight.

The mini is a EM4 prepainted alien.

The wastes and ruins is a harsh place. From time to time these lone critters can be found - Face-eaters. So called as they like to eat your face first. Like the Roachman the critter hunts alone and wanders the wastes looking for fresh faces. They also have a carapice armour. Its not known if these things are a Bio Weapon from the war or a mutant. Some speculate that the critter is a off world nasty. Here we see a Vault Dweller explorer about to get a snog she will never forget - if she survives.

The mini is a EM4 prepainted alien.

One other creature to survive the fall of Mattblack world was its indigenous Bigfoot. These critters survived eating human remains and survivors. The live in the remaining forests in the north and like to ambush humans.
Posted Image

The minis are Copplestone Yeti's.

Another hazard is Radwyrms. These monsterous mutants hunt in packs and are usually found in and around old ruins. They are lightening fast so keep a finger on the trigger and the safety off.

The minis are Heroscape minis I got for a quid last year (the androids are soon to become warrior robots after a repaint).

Thats it for now...but nore nasties are on my workbench. Slag beasts, Radcrawlers and Chitterbugs (also called Nightmares). Keep watching folks!

Cool! I wanna see some RPG stuff from you with those critters!

I love those Bigfoots (Bigfeet?) the most!

The Heroscape 'bots you're going to do, they're not the same ones I've done for WWWII are they?

Love the Radworms...although for some reason that old song "Who likes short shorts" (I saw on the simpsons once) keeps popping in to my head. :D

The Robots are huge old Battle Star Galactica looking Cylon thingies Ross. They are destined to be bodyguards for my evil sceintist that has an entire SOS bunker to himself!

Some of the collectible game figures are too tempting to leave alone. I recently bought a few for my world. Then I over did it and bought 30 or so Battle Droids thinking they will be the "New" zombie-like menace, only these will shoot ya rather than eat ya! A Range threat instead of a close combat opponent. They can come into play when the Scavengers locate and break open the sealed "Vault".

I do also like the mutated insect types to use in the Hot Zones...

As I promised...more mutated monsters from the Wastelands of Mattblackworld...

Zombies huh? The world suffers from the odd plague of rotting brainless creatures known as the Wretched. It is not known where the pools of chemicals are that start this horrific form of slow death - but every now and again swarms of these poor souls wander across the wastes looking for human flesh! This ex- Kraptoidiots meat head shulod have watched where he was treading out in the wastelands.

The mini is a converted GW catchain with a couple of zombie bits added.

Up in the Northern Forests life isnt much better. Tribals, Big foot and mutant plants are only some of the horrors that await the adventurer. There is also these guys - Wolvers. These creatures seem to be a mix of wolf and human. They hunt in packs, move fast and have deadly teeth and claws. Not too much of a problem you would think - but these creatures heal really fast making killing them very difficult.

The minis are westwind werewolves.

Rad Crawlers are giant centipede type mutants that haunt tunnels and ruins. Beware thier weird tenticles - they sting and can knock a man out.
Posted Image
Minis are from a boxed D&D game.

Out in the ruins strange mutants lurk. They are slag beasts - or slaggers as they are more popularly known. They seem to have abosorbed the silicate from the ruins around them. This gives them a tough hide similar to a kevlar skin. These critters like to attack anything moving in the ruins so watch it! Oh - if you run into a Slagger - make sure you have a nice heavy weapon....

Minis from the same cheapo D&D boxed set. I should have played with them and sone a conversion but I could be bothered! lol!

Living with the daily horrors of the wastelands can do terrible things to a man's mind. Some snap totally and go feral. Ferals are totally wild and will attack anything.

Mini is a Horrorclix wildman touched up and rebased.

Chitterbugs (also known as Nightmares) live in tunnels and are found near mountain ranges. These creatures are some sort of Bio-Weapon. In my world they have nests similar to the aliens movies. They get the name nightmares because the hunt at night. The Chitterbugs are pinched from Torben's Wasteland Chronicles rules except his bugs are self replicating.
In late summer the bugs swarm and it enables the great Freedomville annual hunt - which attracts people from across the wastes.

Mini GW 40K Genestealer.

Yet another wild dog - this one is from the same pack as the other 25mm wolves pretending to be wild dogs. This was painted by Amanda Kerr AKA Stronygirl on several forums.

Lurks are called that because that is what they do. Thier favorite food is humans. They hunt around ruins, tunnels and swamps.
