Big boss warlord dude! Posts: 15,699 Group: Admins Member #1 Joined: Jul 22, 2008	He is a WZ Bauhaus plastic with a GW Scout Sniper Rifle. You have to a bit of trimming to the WZ mini and arms to get it to fit.

The Guardians are a weird pseudo cult that is obsessed with reclaiming and preserving technology. They wont think twice about killing to claim some technology. The Guardians are my version of the Brotherhood of Steel from the Fallout universe (although they are more in keeping with the BOS in FO1 & 2, rather than the saviours of the wastelands they are trying to be in FO3) mixed with the Guardians faction from the Jon Shannow novels (they are similar in objective to BOS). The guys you are looking at are the Elite Knights of the Guardians. They are equipped with Power Armour and exotic weapons. There also Paladins (I plan to use 40K SM Scouts for these), Men at arms, Initiates (these will be modified 40K Cadians) and Scribes (any ideas?). The Knights Captain with a combat bot. As the group look for tech they often field repaired bots. Close up of the bot. It is a EM4 plastic robot trimmed to look more normal and with 40K Ork bolter and SM (?) flamer added. I may add more bots in future as I have loads converted waiting for paint. The Guardians run about the wastelands in a much repaired APC. This was a old 40K chaos Rhino I got off evilbay for a song. I made it look more normal. Then adding some bits from Ramshackle's vehicle conversion set I made it look more suitable for a post apoc wasteland. The back still opens and top doors have gone. It used to serve as a mortar carrier for my Krap2idiots force back in the day.

These are stalwart defenders of Laird against raiders and any one else who wishes to harm the town and its fuel factories. The Nuke Ren 2 background has a VSF looking band and I thought I would make my own with bits from my mini collection. The vehicle is a MK1 Rhino from waayyyy back in history. One thing to note is the Mk1 is a lot smaller than the latest Rhinos. Nuts eh? I chose this as it has WW1 kind of look to it.

He wanders off into the Wastes and explores. His speciality is mutant beasties which he likes to study. The mini is unknown but was painted by Xander (V.Lazy.Dragon). He fits the victoriania/steampunk feel that the factions operating out of Laird have (the mini, not Xander...although... ). The character is based on 2 Aussies. One Fictional and one real (and sadly passed on). He will give me a chance to work in certain catch phrases into future batreps!

He's an Over The Wire (now Warror Miniatures) African Explorer. The only figures I can think of for scribes would be one of the various 'cultist' ranges, possibly given some GS armour overthe robes? And Tink, it would be a way of killing 2 birds with one stone! (A steam/diselpunk styled apocalypse could be anotherway of doing it?)

I got some random power armoured troopers from a cheap eBay buy a little while ago that I intend to turn into Brotherhood-esque miniatures, but I don't think there's enough of them, sadly. The stuff out of Laird is great too!

The legendary heroine (and PSI-er) of the wastelands.....Furrygothmother. Just do not get on her wrong side. The figure is a malfux Bette Noir. This is a replacement for my wife's mini-her after she complained it wasn't quite right! So I let her choose what mini. Hey what do you expect from a Goth Chick? Finally.....you know you want to eat there.... Sam N Ella are here! This is checking out "front of house" of their little business. A better shot of the wastelands favourite cooks.... Sam is a Ramshackle Filthy Bob. Ella is a EM4 street thug with added hair, boobs and other bits. I opted to keep a 5 o-clock shadow on Ella. Big boss warlord dude! Posts: 15,699 Group: Admins Member #1 Joined: Jul 22, 2008	Its funny how random mini purchases end up getting made into a gang you have been planning for some time. Out in the Wastelands North of Brittanna City and south of the Scav Lands lies what it thought to be the strongest fortress in the Wastes. The place is known as Vali's Fortress or Vali's Castle after the forts ruler - one Princess Vali (short for Valium - her parents thought it sounded nice!). The fort is made up from salvaged concrete slabs brought from the local ruins. These where embedded into massive ramparts to make a crude but effective fortress. The denziens of the fort keep the walls and watch towers maintained and it gets crude metal plates bolted to it to add extra protection. Vali's castle is a major stopping point for traders moving in between the major settlements. At least you can sleep safe there. One of Vali's men is Mad Dog Murphy (also known as Murph, and if he isnt listening "Murph the Smurf"). The mini is from Black Hat's Dvarg's line. I like this little guy and he has to be one of my favourite sci-fi dwarf minis. Another of Vali's men is Ingvar the Silent. Yes - you have seen him before. This mini is a creation of our very own Mal's who kindly gifted him to me (thanks again Mal!). He will be seeing some action as soon as the rest of the band are complete. Sly - a young punk in the town who wants to make a name for himself. Em4 musician/band singer with the microphone removed and a knife added. Future additions to the war band is Vali (a Keltos mini), Poisoned (another Keltos mini), Charon (some sort of GW cadian conversion when I make him), Kalik (40K Tallarn), Mad Lou (when I decide what to use). There will be more when I figure them out. There will be other characters from this place too such as Sham and his bodyguard (still looking for a name for him) when I find find/make them.
