Introducing "Miss Charlotte Wolsey" an explorer from Laird. She will be teaming up with Doc Burner in future episodes of his tales. ![]() ![]() "Wanna Trade? You better not rip me off!" ![]() Karstan Von Sausage is a trader, scavenger and adventurer found in the Liberty Wastes. He is a Horror clix survivalist that I touched up with a brush. ![]() ![]() This is yet another servant of Doctor Spitt! This creature with no free will of its own thanks to the lobo chip the Dok gave him was originally Spitt's boss. Who knows what Spitt will do when he finishes defrosting the other cyro chambers?? This is a resin mini from micromodels in Poland. |

The Risen Corporation are a new society that operates in the corporate structure. The have risen from the ashes of the old world and seek to build a new one. They do this by looking for lost bunkers, storage sites and technology. The Risen Corporation is also happy to invade or raid bunkers and wasteland settlements looking for technology. It is also happy to capture wastelanders as slaves (although the Corporation seems to think they are doing them a favour). Clashes with the Wastelands other Corporation are rare as Krap2idiots trades drugs and snacks rather than chasing technology. However tensions run high when the two groups run into each other. Here we see a squad of Corporate Goons and a officer. ![]() Figures are EM4 Paramilitary and a cop. These are going to another group of generic baddies to upset the wastelanders..or at least give them something to shoot at. |

No - these are a "evil corporation" who likes tech and the storage bunkers loaded with supplies and gold! They are re-building the world in the corporate model. My Tech addicts will be a thorn in their sides. They where painted with a couple of light coats of sand highlighted with sand/bone mix. Easy and quick. I may get some workers for these next... |

In the Wastelands mother whisper to naughty children...."behave or Mr Snickety will come you!!". In the Wastelands Mr Snickety is a reality and lurks in the ruins waiting for vicitms. SNICKTY, CLIP, CLIP is the last thing many a wanderer hears...![]() They say that Mr Snickety is part man part machine, so tormented that hall he can do is kill with those deadly blades he has for fingers....other say he is a rogue machine from before the end... Mini is a Ramshackle Mr Snickety. |

Introducing.... Shabby and Skaggydoo! ![]() Shabby and his dog Skaggydoo wander the wastelands looking for a party. They have been on the road in their van "the Misery Machine" since they lost the rest of their gang "Misery Inc". The gang were investigating a large mutant monster that had been terrorising a village. As it turns out the large mutant monster turned out to be a large mutant monster with lots of teeth. Not a old man in a mask as the gang originally thought. It ate the rest of the gang. Shabby and Skaggdoo are natural cowards and did a runner at the first sign of danger. That is why they are alive now and the rest of Misery Inc are not. ![]() Shabby is a coward and will run at the first sign of trouble. He however gravitates to parties. Unknown to Shabby and many who meet him is the fact he suffers from a mutation. He has the ability to eat virtually anything....even Tinker's Rat On a Stick in special sauce with Tinker Flakes topping... and he can eat lots of it. ![]() Skaggydoo looks like an ordinary dog. But he is a PSI mutant. The dog share a mind link with his owner Shabby and as such has taken on many of his traits. The dog is a coward and can also eat anything. If fact the pair are often in friendly competition about what and how much they can eat. The dog also appears to be unusually intelligent and can communicate beyond the usual dog range. Skaggydoo is a coward but will risk life and limb if Shabby is in danger. Shabby is a Hasslefee Wolsey mini and the Dog is from the same line. and of course...we need the all important Misery machine... ![]() ![]() The van is a 1/43 VW bus I got off evil bay. I repainted it. The spare wheels are from a toy jeep. The roof rack is aluminium mesh with bits n bobs added. I couldnt not make a van too. The idea is to use Shabby and Skaggydoo as wanderers who happen to be around the action. Who knows they may even turn out to be heroes. |

What else can I say, I'm freakin' impressed! I think you should do the Dukes of Hazard next. As a bonus it is really easy to find alternate names for those two. |

Thanks - I am going for the Skank/Recon in force type of game elements. Post Apoc can be grim but we can make it more entertaining. Plus easily identified icons from popular culture is a good way to get people hooked on the more fun elements of Wargaming/RPG. One good thing about this side of our hobby is that there is no one to tell you "you cant do that/have that in your game". The Dukes of Hazard is a good idea. I am already building several forces for my Wasteland Confederacy (essentially a group of small villages, settlements and farms with the odd town sized settlement thrown in). The farms will be using various Hillbilly ranges with a elite unit based in Hamsterdam - known as Skipol's Heroes (hillbillies with full auto weapons). The Duke's might make another good mobile gang/fact reaction force. I was playing with the idea of getting some ACW minis and converting them to make some sort of more organised army rather than the possies and mobs that will make up the majority of the forces. The plastics are cheap enough. Head, weapon and kit swaps might make it work. This faction's main enemies will be raiders, Aryanrieche (looking for supplies and conscripts) and possibly a more long ranged Neo Sov force. Of course I will be pitting them against the Hell Born army when I get them finished too. Speaking of TV program pee takes...there is the A team and a few others for stealing. Any other ideas?

Love the Misery Machine, though am now wondering how it got that name. Did they have to share the van with little Crappydoo at one point? I'd love to see what a PA hippy/pagan faction would look like. |

Crappy doo! Actually I ripped it off from the Zombie Island of Dr Ned bolt on for Borderlands (btw this game has some great PA style characters and ideas for games). There are some tape recorders and a wrecked bus in a Borderlands salute to Scooby & Shaggy. It has the name "Misery Machine". At the same time I was looking after my neighbours cat. She is a VW bus nut and a Scooby Doo fan. My mind had a melt down.... The Hippy/pagan faction will be littered with traditional looking witches and druids, hippies and other odd balls. Some will probably be inspired by the new agers/pagans that I know. I did think about some sort of pee take of the hippy-tree huggers in Fallout3. I am thinking about keeping the faction basic weapons wise as I am planning to keep them low tech using bows, bolt action rifles, revolvers and shotguns. Some wood elves may work as additional warriors. So far I have HF Witch Hazel, some Hippies from the Geezers range, A witch doctor or two, a hand full of old Grenadier Wood Elves (spears swapped with bolt action firles). I may have a old wizard or two to fit in as Druids. Edited by mattblackgod, Sep 17 2010, 09:27 AM.

The post apocalyptic world is a frightening one. If you go to Vali's Fortress they whisper about a horror that lives in the Swamps North of the Blight (a bio engineered virus that rots you) ridden North Port and along the Rust river that borders the Scav Lands. Folks in the Scav Lands also speak of the horror and will not cross the Rust River. For in the Swamp lurks many mutated creatures and plants, but the worst of all is the Mutant known as Shriek. ![]() ![]() ![]() Shriek attacks anything he doesn't like in his swamp. The truth of the matter is all he wants is to be left alone. That doesn't stop bands of fool hardy adventures and wannabee trying to kill him. But Shriek isnt entirely alone. He has allies. Years ago he was befriended by the mystical weirdo Sham from Vali's fortress. It wasnt easy but Sham has ways. Even Charon the Blighted has befriended Shriek. He invited the mutant to join the fortess, they dont mind if you are big, ugly and smelly....look at Charon! Shriek is another bit of fun from my demented brain. He is a much green stuffed GW Ogre Bull. Drat...does this mean I now have to make some swamp terrain with a house under a tree? |
