So its time for the odd finished character and mini from Matt Black World. First up is the Founder and director of the Wasteland Engineering and Construction Company (WECC). This is Isenbard Brunell - I used the name as its the only one that seems to fit. The mini is from Ramshackle. I chose the hand with a walking cane/shotgun/handcannon. Sadly the weapon snapped in tow - so it had to be a sawn off.    The firgure is nice to paint and I enjoyed painting it. This is my first attempt to paint up metallics in grey tones - not too sure it worked.

That is a very figure Mr D - definatley one I'm going to get for my steampunk games! One suggestion - paint some of the feed pipes in different shades, that way you can distinguish them better. As for the 'non-metallic metal', it looks good to me! |

Looking at the Rail cannon - I would say that the large ones are cooling pipes and the conduits power for the weapon. I might change them to blue or green - although most cooling hoses are black.

Right - back to the table for this guy then! Green might work well rather than blue as blue might get a bit lost in the metal paint me thinks. That and I have some air cooling hose in the shed thats bright green (from one of my many home made motorbike air filter & box experiments  Might make some nice industrial terrain too come to think of it  )

So here he is now - a red hose and a green hose. I gave the conduits another dark wash to define them and gave the suit another brown wash to help blend in the highlights. Another finished one is MAD.....  Looking at the pic I am not too sure about the defining line inbetween the helmet and eyebrows. The goggle frames need some brown I think too - just to dirty up the brass effect. Here are some more shots of him with his truck:   |

So here is some updates of what I got done before Xmas and last month. Introducing Johaan - the new Squat engineer with the Wasteland Engineering and Construction Company. Old Johaan sports homemade six gun heavy pistols of his own design. He will be joining Brunel in his workshop.  The mini is a Heresy Dwarf engineer. Man I love those Six guns! Also introducing Sammi Kerr. Sammie is a Vaultie explorer from the unopened SOS bunker No 13. Sammie wanders the wastes doing acts of good and kindness in a vicious fashion!  She is a rebased Heroclix superhero (not sure of her name). I repainted her and added the weapons. Also introducing Shep (its just Shep). Shep wanders the wastelands with his dog Mutt working as a healer in exchange for food, water, ammo and shelter.  Shep and Mutt are Ral Partha Shadowrun Dog Shaman. Finally the Pictsies tribals now have extra muscle! Whats worse than a swarming horde of savages? A swarming horde of Pictsie Savages that what!  L-R - GW 40K last chancer, Grenadier FW Bodyguard (converted), Grenadier FW Biker chick (converted), and a Grenadier FW Savage. All grenadier minis supplied by EM4 minis.  L-R - Grenadier FW Savage (from EM4), Junkers Beserker, Junkers Beserker (Urban Mammoth). |

Definately great figures there Dan! I've got some of those berserkers myself and have wondered what to do with them. Turning them into savages definately works

Some minis from the vault - so to speak. These where done over a year back. Meet Wednesday. She can be found hanging around your local town with evil intentions.   The mini is a Hertzerdog Babylons Burning Ghoul. Some more naughty kids!  Another Hetzerdog Babylons Burning Ghoul. Von Runtstead is a ratling mutant hunter - he doesnt like being called shorty.  The mini is a Heresy Vampire Hunter. |
