I bought these today, 5 pieces for 3,50 €.

If you are lucky and your footpath is broken open cause of 'cable works' then you can even 'find' them for free !
(use to 'cover cables' says on the label).

I am not intending on using them in the near future, certainly not intending on covering cables, just hoarding...

Lets all together sing this tune :music: all too familiar to all of us caught in the rat-race :zhypno: :

:drunk: "...but so little time..." :drunk:

Although temperatures are, for the time of year, record breaking cold here in Belgium.
Spring is coming. As I maybe mentioned before coming months are usually busy for me work-wise, so posting will probably be slower.
I just hope now and then my nothings on scavenging 'the outside world' will reach you guys save.

Take care, and remember: take the rat out of the race and put it on a stick ! :witchdr:

Ciao,
Bob

Bored cause my gaming friend did not show up this evening, so thought I post this and bore you guys some.

These I bought in a store (chain) called 'Action'. It's one of those typical very very low price shops.
One of the reasons they can sell so cheap is that they pay their workers low. So other low paid workers, like me, can go on a shopping spree, buying things they don 't need, but hell it 's so cheap !

Or not ? I actually paid 0,99€ for some (hard) plastic drinking straws....

Something similar (O.K., identical except only one colour per set) in one of the local "All-for-a-Quid" shops (can't remember which) recently, being cleared for half price (50p). Sorry I didn't mention at the time...

Right,

this one is really cheap, but there is some work on it...

This time of year, this part of the world, one would hope spring is coming.
In the plant shop you get your collection little plants you want to buy home with you on a 'carrying tray' as depicted on the foto.

What do you think ?
Some minor cutting to open up the gaps some more, maybe ad (cardboard or other packaging material) to construct a floorboard, et presto ! Modular, stackable tunnel/spacehull scenery.

Hey Hollander,

who you are calling a 'crap artist' ?

And sorry... I won't 'give it a go', well not for the moment anyway.
This post is, like Tinker stated, about 'possibilities'.

Maybe you can give it a go ?

I don't think Hollander was meaning anything derogatory when he used the phrase "crap artist"; probably more along the lines of "an artist when it comes to turning waste into scenery". Things may not be as they seem when for many for whom English is not their first language do the rest of us monoglots the favour of posting in what is supposed to be ours (actually, my first language is Northern Gibberish...).

Thanks for the reassuring words Moramarth,

my native tongue is Nederlands.
Ik denk niet dat er veel zijn die dit zullen kunnen lezen, alhoewel Google translate...
En zelfs ik, als Nederlandstalige, ken het verschil tussen 'scrap' and 'crap'.

Be assured Austrlia is too far away to send my troops

:Arr:

And what's more I even come to appreciate Mr. Hollander his way of expressing himself.

;)

As I recall Hollander is from around your part of the world Bob. I may be mistaken but not wrong. 😂

However chaps, the fighting pit is now open and Tinker is running a book.

:bouncy: :boxing: :bouncy:

I mean of course during a table top wargame

The second is missing an "s" due to a typo?

Actually, "ken" has (or had) much the same usage in my local dialect (e.g. "D'ye ken John Peel"), although that "mak o' toak" is falling out of use.

 Sorry , I mean you are an artist making some good looking and usefull terrain out of stuff that other people would consider useless material / waste / rubbage .. I think I made a mistake using the word crap.. :frustry:

I aplogize.. I really like what you did there and I'm happy you're posting pictures as I 've been thinking about doing someting similar myself. But I never gave it a try.

Again sorry , I really did not mean to offend you.. and edited the post and changed crap into scrap..ok?
