would you believe it took GW and the soon to be Necromunda release to get me gaming again after SOOOOOO! many years ...so this is the start of a generic table for both it's just monocrome black/white untill i build the 'scatter' terrain to go with it then i'll detail paint it

I kept the building simple... cardboard packaging cut into 200mm squares then sealed with masking tape around the edges and a combination of card/ plastic card squares and sand/gravel mix. Halfords black Primer then lite spray of Halfords white just to make the highlights pop...

Hi,Al,

Good to see you back! I used Halfords for years, I now tend to go for the Wilko's "own brand" stuff - cheaper (even though the can is 400mi as opposed to Halfords' 500ml) and of comparable quality. I don't know about consistency of shades between batches, but the Wilko Grey Primer was markedly lighter than the Halfords equivalent, which permitted some interesting effects. Poundland do some small cans with b*gg*r-all in them, but the can of grey primer I bought was a nice match for Panzergrau! Most Poundland stuff stinks to high heaven and often has other drawbacks, but is worth experimenting with.

Cheers,

M

took 3 tiles off worked out you'e spend too much time just getting from one end to t'other, the hazard strips and area numbers really bring that industrial look i was after.

cheers

I think I've already said how impressed I was with the bases; all the more so now when I see you have made some stand higher than others. What gets me now is the cranes (mobile or otherwise) that fit in with the "Fantasy Gothic" vibe... Very nice!

Cheers,

M
