'M'....... not the die-cast one's..... Didn't know about them! ...... Interesting?..... but the normal 3-4inch plastic one's just like the star wars one..... However I've now seen 'larger' one's..... I think there like 7"? they seem really detailed.... Maybe I'll try and convert one to a stand alone PA figure? What you think.......

Forgive my ignorance - I didn't even know they did plastic "Game of Thrones" stuff! One assumes those sort of things are aimed at a younger age group, while GoT is more "adult"...

You seem to be able to use a variety of materials well, and I wouldn't want to discourage your admirable creativity, but given you haven't been a big figure fan in the past perhaps it might be an idea to start with the easier worked materials - plastic that can be glued with ordinary model glue and epoxy putty (Green Stuff or Milliput). You don't want to start too small, so maybe one of those 1:16th figures we talked about?
How about this guy as a starting point for someone like "The Lord Humongous" from Mad Max 2...

it looks like he does come with a head under that helmet:

I've added these two cuties to the stash for the basis of PA conversions when life allows:

They're 1:24th scale, so should match any vehicles I build.

Cheers,

M

done using 'HAIR SPRAY' (Tesco's cheap'est) 3 Thin coats leaving each one to dry (only about 5 min's) then white Acrylic thinned with water, tap water is all i use , once it's 'touch dry' i use warm ... not hot , tap water and start scrubbing away as I've said before be careful because at first it doesn't seem to do anything ,,,,,,,,,, then 'BANG'! it will chip very quickly so try and keep it controlled! ......... (Note... to self! )

...... so today will get a pin wash and some post shading ......... that's after I've ...... Hmmmm...... cut the grass ..... wash up! we were 'Bad' left it from last night .... "£$% it! .......... sorted the rocker'y out.... more like a small mountain! trimmed the edges..... been shopping.... cleaned the car out from all the work stuff ........... and reset our other laptop back to windows 7 from windows 10 .... hate it!

............. so ......... cheers guy's have a quite weekend!

Weekend update 2 .....

post shade of Vallejo burnt umber and then a light going over with Tamiya NATO black just to bring out the shadow a bit more ending with a Oil pin wash simple mix of burnt umber and black mixed with odorless turpentine, has i didn't have a gloss finish i go around the areas i'm going to pin wash with neat turp's this helps the wash to flow better other wise it can stain the paint a little too much.........

cheers guy's........ Mr Clean... go for a black undercoat... I really hated that red Primer after I had used it :frustry: infact it's in the bin! it took age's to get the rust Base how I needed it, black is much easier to start from. it's back to black undercoat, instant shadow and gives the colours a deeper stronger tone.
