Wastelanders.....The votes are in!!

Doof Warrior......drum roll please!!!

*apocalyptic clatter as Doof kicks drums off the ramparts*

Sigh, I could have got Inky to do that!

So Wastelanders......the lucky theme this year is......

Create a Post Apocalptic Aircraft.

It can be a wreck from the wars or end of times (Google P40 wreck in desert or Mad Max 3 Airliner for inspiration). Or a post apoc craft which is destroyed. Shot down or possibly crashed during it's maiden flight! This could be a bit of terrain or an objective. What tech or salvage is there to be had? What is the wreck's story?

It could be an abandoned aircraft at an airport, an abandoned helicopter, or a aircraft forced to land due to fuel loss. Another terrain item or objective. Why did it land? Why was it abandoned?

It could be a aerial survivor of the old world, cobbled together to keep it flying. The craft could be a re lifed museum peice allowing some historic models to be used (I had a setting idea where RAF survivors managed to keep the WW2 Battle of Britain flight flying. A lancaster bomber and a handful of Spitfires and Hurricanes terrorise the wastes or take out rampaging hordes). It could be a home brewed post apoc aircraft. Even a air balloon or blimp. As long as it flies. The model can be a transport or a combat machine. Or both. In this case you can have it as a flying model or landed. Crew members are optional.

For the insane Wastelanders even a black powder rocket propelled hang glider would do.

All that has to be apparent is that it is or was a aircraft of some kind in a post apocalyptic setting. No shiney show room flying machines. The model has to be built/made after the start of this challenge and a WIP thread would be nice.

As always this challenge is just for fun. There is no winners or prizes to be had other than the admiration of the rest of us. The purpose of these challenges is to try to make something, push our boundaries, learn something new and to inspire other members.

There is no dead line, like the other challenges.

Just get to it and have fun!

I am planning to try and turn a plane into some sort of building.
That's my initial gut feeling as well.
