First of all, Hello!

I'm not new to war gaming, but I am new to the genre, so I thought I'd have a go at making a wasteland raider vehicle. Currently I have no idea of what rules to use, is there one that focuses just on vehicle combat? Seeing as I have many a matchbox car that I can lay my mitts on....

(Use of GW bits... Got many lying around!)

(I apologise for the mess, I haven't done any modelling for about a year and half!)

I'm waiting for some Green stuff I ordered to arrive, so I can patch up the gaping holes and add "welding lines" and so forth (Should be done by the end of the weekend ^_^ )

Comments well appreciated!

Axle tribes
Axles and Alloys
Dark future
Road Rage
Road Warriors
I tried sharing some of these around at the local club last weekend and was assured that noone wants to play, you have to have exactly the right games if you wish to play, that means nothing other than Car Wars or Dark Future.
Having tried to read Dark Future i can say the other games are vastly superior. Dark Future is poorly scanned, too long, and fans, for a long time, had to make their own rules for leaving the road, as the core rules had you stuck on the road tiles in the boxed set.
Which I don't seem to be able to find.
Really it is little more than Death Racers with customisation and campaign systems.
Plus most of the designs possible were only available with models that looked enough like the minis in the box. Making most of the art in the rulebooks in the box lies, until the issue of White Dwarf with the (limited) nonstandard models use rules was released.
Still, worth a look as there may be noone else outside this board who will play the simpler games.

Of course the big problem with free online books is finding a printer engine big enough to print them.....

You can try "Crushing!" a bit more light hearted than DF.

Pretty reasonable games we get 2 or 3 in a night on a 4' square board.. between drinking and chatting

edit... some nice ideas on the vehicle there too ;)

I vote for Axels and Alloys! :D

The car looks good. Nice work. I should get some pics of my hotwheels scale vehicle horde! :D

Axels & Alloys and road rage both look ok - although I haven't tried either. Dark future is a classic, and you may well pick up a few 'nostalgia' players

I don't know much about the rules side of things, but that's one wicked looking car conversion!

Hope we can see more of these from you.

Grrr... Greenstuff hasn’t arrived. ^o)

So I've made some more to pass the time:

Machine Gun and Flamethrower

And a much larger beastie (still needs a lot more work):

Some more heavy duty Missiles. Going to add a "crew" once I find the right Miniatures! (See miniatures section post)

For the truck, I'm probably gonna add some armour and some spikes, then Im going to try a few buggies/bikes.
