Soooo, Lots to do as usual, but I can only do so much at a time (I need a clone or three), so in today's sorting and cleaning I've gotten around to fixing up a Shadowrun Base Runner Set kindly sold to me by Dan-the-man. Love some of these figures (I love the lot, but some stand out more than the others), the ghoul street wizard the most though:

They're ready to have their bases seen too, but I'm not sure on what style. Should I go flat grey city street style, my standard wasteland painted dirt or other?
Help me decide....

I am glad they went to a good home! :D

You cant go wrong with wasteland dirt and rubble mix. That way they can fit into the ruins and a city.

I started painting one of the Shadowrun models last night, initially he'll be a Wyrd for an upcoming Necromunda campaign, but once that's done he'll settle in the wasteland:
Still plodding along:

Blurry shot, but even still that's one hell of a cool model! Slash crossed with Eddie :D

I haven't got a name for him yet, I'm up for suggestions.

Doc Toxic sounds good, but I'll not write that in concrete just yet ;)

Gotta say (as the model's sitting beside me) that he looks so much better in the flesh than on screen (I haven't made and changes to him since that photo). I hope the finished pics do him justice.

Damn it's a cool model :D

Got a little stir crazy today and thought I'd try something new. I'm still going by my "finish what you've got" new years resolution, so I put the WWWII and D&D aside for today and had a look in my B29 box of tricks. Not alot of tricks left (for the moment anyhow ;) ).

So I thought I'd start the Dust Devils mercenary and security force, then I spotted these two:

Some quick basic conversions later and we have Maddie the sometimes mercenary, full time arms dealer who operates out of the Gap. Next to her is Fred Awestair, chicken farmer and salesman. Lucky fellow had discovered a flock/herd/gathering (what do you call a group of chickens, roost isn't it?) of chooks and has profited ever since.

Based, they'll be right to paint tomorrow!!

Maddie is another of the GZG Gentleman's collection, it originally had an M16 but it didn't suit. I'd grabbed her for a WWWII hero, but it was a little too scantily clad, thus making her perfect for PA ;)

Ooh, I think I need to check out the Gentleman's Collection sometime... She's a great mini.

I think I've managed about half the range split between WWWII super heroes, wasteland characters and painted just for pleasure.

Next on the agenda is some soldiers of the Dust Devils mercenary/security force. Got up bloody early (couldn't stay asleep) so I had a fiddle..... then I did some modeling.... :D

Finished three off, just some basic weapon swaps and face mask thingies to match the three outrider bikers I've got.

And another seven to go:

So in the end there'll be 10 troops, three outriders, two jeeps, and an APC (haven't decided on a futuristic wheeled SGII one or a Vietnam one). Think I may have to add a pair of quad bikes too.... maybe....

They'll make good guards for mobile caravans (yes, ye' olde boiler has been steaming up some ideas of late).
