Dawgie's Men, Old Imperial Guard for the Post Apocalyptic World

This past December and January, I managed to complete a project that had lingering on my shelves for some time and posted about the progress in two blog posts that should have been linked here.

Many of you will remember Dawgie, who used to post here. Also known as Baddawg or Baddawg6 on some other forums, I found him to be incredibly inviting, and an amazing source of inspiration. His approach to the hobby just encompassed what I think the hobby should be. He impacted me in a very positive way. Anyway, I bought a bunch of figs from him many years ago, and struggled with what to do with them, especially after we lost him.

My own little tribute to Dawgie is told in these two blog posts, as I finally completed my old GW Imperial Guard figs for use as a post apocalypse army. While the scope of this "army" tends to be a little bigger than most PA factions and gangs, it represents a collective force assembled by a number of city states forming a small confederation in my PA world. It will rarely fight as a complete unit, but will occasionally encounter at least two other similarly sized forces. I'll be sharing more about my projects and PA world later in the year as I finally kick off a PA campaign.

Nice work. They look great.

A great tribute to a great man. I look forward to seeing this lot kick butt out in the wastelands.

Maybe the leader could have a large golden coloured dog?
