Hi guy's well the fluff............begins “A Modern British Civil War"......... After the Labour party won the Election of 2015 with a narrow majority and formed a coalition with the SNP, the UK descended into a chaotic time of failed policy's and false hopes, the British public becomes politically antipathetic and a Labour coalition ruled for 15 miserable years until 2030, when during this sad time the disenfranchised people of Great Britain started to form pro and anti government factions, fueled by two old political rivals, ken 'the red' stones and Boris 'the butcher of Eton' johns, who manage to stir up political unrest, one faction in this, is the royalist group 'Harry's boy's' who included ex and serving military personnel who flocked to the royalist banner and are loyal to the king. King Harry, who became king after the assassination of his brother and his brother's family by unknown assassins. The SNP demanded outrageous changes to the UK during there time in power and blocked numerous policy's bringing the government to it's knees, companies packed up shop and pulled there businesses out of Britain resulting in mass unemployment and economic ruin …..right wing loyalist groups didn't take too kindly to this and attacks and attempts on the life's of government coalition members began….Scotland saw a rise of the Clans has old feuds were reignited.......and scores settled......... During this time, the ‘UNITE’ union ( Britain’s biggest union ) merged with the civil service union ( ‘PSC’ ) to form a ‘super union’ ………….. the strikes started the next day!…….. the UK was thrown into paralysis over night……nothing moved…. nothing worked …..the union formed a militant wing known has 'the united' it became known too many has 'the damned united'. Rioting broke out on a scale never before seen on the streets of Britain, a very small minority demanded change, for the majority it’s was a great way to stock up on large TV’s!…. the home office armed the police……. rioters and looters were shot……..what the police didn't expect was the amount of firepower directed back at them! from very well organised criminal gangs ……. businesses and homes were looted in a orgy of violence, rape and murderous destruction. A fanatical group with strong links to the middle east called the 'Sons of the Desert' openly displayed there banners and attempted to take parts of major towns and city's imposing there own laws…….the SOD's has they became known, have funding and support from there middle eastern backers, a group known has the COF'fers the 'Children of Faith' went on the counter attack against the SOD's........again it's unknown where the COF'fers get there support and backing from, but they appear to be well funded and supported, so begin what became known has the ‘TECHNICAL’ wars……….the heavy use of pick ups, trucks and cars………..and heavy weapons............. The Republic of Ireland put their army on full alert and closed all border crossings, sectarian violence erupted in Northern Ireland has groups fought for control of the Provence........little word has come out of Northern Ireland since........... The 'Sons of the Desert' use the first of there ‘dirty bombs’ provided by there middle east backers, the majority of casualties are actually caused by the explosions, the radioactive fallout is minimal, .....................................The psychological effect is immense, however! 'Children of Faith' retaliate with their own ‘dirty bombs’ which have been supplied by their 'sponsors' ……..during this time all law and order finally collapsed has Britain descended into anarchy............. where only the power of the gun..........and bomb rule............ British forces and there commanders no longer looked to the government for their orders, ..........a final order was issued by field Marshall 'Buster' Brown that all British military units on land, sea and air are to form independent resistance units to defend there family's, homes and 'other' like minded peoples of Great Britain, the messages ends with.........'god bless and happy hunting' Parts of the UK became a wasteland has Millions died in the 'slaughterhouse' that became Great Britain……….. ..............................................and the rest is…………HISTORY!…… Edited by london1662, Mar 29 2015, 03:02 PM.

Lots of great factions there. How many people are going to be playing in this campaign? Are all factions opened to play or will some be NPC factions? |

cheers Crazy joe............... this was never originally meant to be a campaign or wargame has such, but a background and fluff to my model building, it's grown in all directions which has been great, so i'm now looking at wargaming this.... but this has to join my list of things to do... so please feel free to use...abuse...copy and cut the bits, add more if you like............. this would make a great 'living' story ............cheers Alan |
