Ross... you are making me think of making scenery again - something I always wax lyrical about, then hate when I'm doing! I may have to put up with the angst over the summre and get on with making some...

I think you should, to me, the terrain is 60% of the hobby!

Righto, tonight's effort (not that much different than last night...):

Though to be fair, that piece in the middle was 90% finished until I decided to adjust a beam, which then broke, then I dropped it, then it fell apart so I decided to get the wall beams set first, then wall it.

Did some more on the ruined weather board house too:

AS I say... I really don't enjoy doing scenery that much... making it isn't sooo bad, but I'm not keen on painting it (similar issue with vehicles to a lesser extant) but I do need some stuff for Modern africa, and I'll try to make thigns work for both that & AC57...

Oooh, bugger. All that work undone. Poor Ross :(

It's shaping up really well though mate. Is that middle piece going to contain the water tank?

Those couches are looking really funky too :)

Ross,

You may not like painting it, but I sure enough like to look at your finished work... And I am sure that once you lay out the finished terrain and let loose those gangers onto the table it all seems worth the effort.

That was Xander that's not 100% keen on terrain painting, it's vehicles I hate doing! Give me 1000 infantry and 10 tables of terrain to paint or one vehicle!! :D

Benny, that center piece will be a left over tin shack. My theory is, that with such great wasteland building skills, it wouldn't take much to blow one down, so this piece will be an abandoned or in construction shed/house.

The water tank will be coming up tonight...

Ooh, very light cover? :)
Which reminds me... In the ruleset you use, do you allow for bullet penetration into light materials? Such as timber housing or corrugated Iron sheds?

As we fight outside mostly, it hasn't come up. But the rules are in there for when it does, as well as shooting vehicle passengers or just shooting up the car etc.

Just a quicky tonight (hopefully :D ):

Almost finished the construction/ruin shack, just need to dirt the base and add a few planks. Also finished the fallen water tower, same as the construction/ruins, it needs to be dirted:

They are looking sweet. These are comeing together nicely. I love the ruined shack.

I cant wait to see your couches. Fallout 1& 2 has some couches out side. If you check out the Skank site (and Recon in force) they have some mouldy old couches too - in bright pink! :D I need some now!

Cheers man, I'm thinking I should get the two done last night and the cork-crete one all finished and based by the end of tonight, and the wooden one and couches done by tomorrow night.

So with some luck (I've got until Tuesday) I ought to have another piece or two added to the mix by the time this week long self challenge is done!

Could I suggest you try and get some more of those small construction/ruins done? They look pretty easy to make and would fill out a table really well :)

Not a bad idea, each one would be a half hour job (plus drying time) and would help set up and abandoned town setting.
