Well, I am using Dead Earth Games: Across the Dead Earth rules for my game. I like the mechanics and the points system and can manipulate it for just about whatever I need in Fallout. Lasers and such may pose a small balance problem, but I'll work it out eventually. After all many of the laser weapon using factions have troops that dont. Across the Dead Earth is based in the U.K. , but with the upcoming release of the "From Sea to Poisoned Sea" expansion I will be running a U.S. based game. I was working on a Fallout rpg awhile back that was set in my hometown here in Clarksville, Tn. We are right next to the Ft. Campbell military reservation and I did some writing about a vault being located downtown because of political pull and all that. So I'll be using all of that material in fleshing out my world.

Here are the gangs I have from ATDE, The Red Claws, Adam's Family and the State, and I have preordered the other 2 that are in production, the Sisters of Acquisition and the Engineers Guild. The bar was a cool addon from the kickstarter that is available on their website, and the sniper Crimson was also a kickstarter special that is not available until Feb. 2016. I also have many of the Brother Vinni models and some Crooked Dice minions that I plan on making a vault group out of. The crates at the bottom are loot & objective markers from Mantic's Dead Zone range. The lids have different symbols on them for ammo, medipacs and such and I thought they'd be a nice touch since we're always finding crates and stuff. Well ok, less talking and more pics. Everything is ready for prime and paint!

Looks like you are off too a good start.

I am not familar with the rules. Here is how I would do it for other rules.

For a laser take a rifle profile and increase the range by 20% and slightly increase its damage. For plasma weapons decrease the range slightly but double the damage. For FO plasma weapons some sort of to hit penalty my need adding as the plasma bolts are quite slow.

Another guide could be to find the fallout data on the weapons you want to create.

Both weapons would have power pack supply problems. Your looting and scavenging rules will need updating.

Yeah I always treat lasers like "Glass cannons". Long range, a little more damage and very prone to breakage. I also make power packs rare so my players think twice before burning a shot on the first 10 targets that pop into view.

I like that bar and will be interested in seeing it painted up.

Definitely looks like a good start for a Fallout collection. Will you be running this more as a wargame or an RPG? I am a huge fan of Fallout (been playing New Vegas for far too long most nights), and I am interested in seeing this project develop.

Sounds like a good plan see how you get on with the rules. It will be interesting to see how you utilise power armour and powerfists/rippers

I'll be running it as a wargame, with just one off games for a start and then go full on into a campaign.

I like those ideas and will definitely work them in. I especially love the power packs being scarce. :pipboy2:

Sorry for the hiatus on this guys. I have rhematoid arthritis in my hands and the cold weather has been playing crazy with them. However, I think the doctor has the dosage on my new medicine dialed in and I haven't had much if any pain in about a week. YAY! Time to get painting and scratch building.
