Nah, FW haven't done an Ad Mech range. Yet ;)

I'm referring to the Ad Mech Explorator and retinue released back in the late 80's through to the much more recent Space Marine servitors and tech-marines. Eg, the Thunderfire cannon... So schmexy

Those cars looks great! Seems like a pretty good scale too... 1/43 but on the smaller side. How much are you getting them for?

I don't rightly know, I got 'em pretty bloody cheap, 4 for $10-$15 or something like that.

I'm keeping a few stashed away for SR, keeping them clean and wasteland-mod free.

SR is alot more hightech than the cars you've got, isn't it? I thought it was generally alot more Judge Dread/Blade Runner?

Yes and no, car bodies haven't changed too much, just the engines. The cars I've got set aside are Austin Martins and the like, a few people movers, the more 'upmarket' cars that I reckon will work well for midrange cars in the SR future.

Though I'm thinking hard about using some of the vans in a PA convoy...

I'll get these Dust Devils out of the way then I'll hit the vehicles again. I've got another group of the Aussies coming tomorrow, so once I split them I'll be working them as well, but they take stuff all time to clean and tear up.

time for JAR' Raider Suggestions!

Ross for the van's for theconvy, try to get some minivans that you can remove the side door's. Then, add a giant harpoon gun right there. And boom. You got a wicked awesome minvan. And have a soccer mom drive it. with a gun to her head

*ahem* Still waiting on that after shot ;) The reason I came to have a look here was because I saw the exact same cars for sale in a Hobby Shop around here too. I actually just bought a Cararama Mini Morris that I'm destroying converting for my dudes!

Did you strip your vehicles?

Ooooh sweet! Looking forward to yours then for sure!!

I don't bother stripping, or priming, the only work I do to them (apart from armour plates and accessories) is a good rubdown with a scourer pad, then a good wash of patented rust effect and mud/dirt/dust around the bottom.

I usually prime toy cars, although I don't strip them first. It gives a more even colour to work from... or so I find anyway :)

For me it depends, if it's a plastic car then I prime the bejeesus out of it, but the die cast cars usually have decent paint to work from.

That's fair enough. I've got some plastic trucks I got from a couple of plastic Army Man bags (for $2!) that are going to get some converting done on them soon. But I'm pretty happy with painting/weathering right over the existing paint jobs also. It was a new experience for me but it came out pretty well. I only tried 'cos I saw you lot doing such cool things with 'em!

I take a few of mine apart to fo the interior detail. I also prime them. It depends on what you want to do with them.

I've been trying to get hold of those army men bags for ages, but they're scarce as hens teeth down this neck of the woods.

I used to have shed loads of the things... But then when I discovered 1:72nd Airfix I switched and gave them all to my brother. God only knows where they are now *sigh*

If I see anything decent I'll let you know Ross. I haven't been going to $2 Shops much lately as I bought possibly all the plastic Aquarium plants I will need for the rest of my life.

Still, I'll show you lot what I end up doing with the truck and if you want one I'll get it for ya :)
