Well it's my first post on these forums so I thought I would start with showing you all some of my post apocalyptic miniatures. Usually I paint old-school 40k models (the 80s beakie marines are a personal favourite) but recently I've been feeling something of a post apocalyptic urge! Luckily a while ago my mate (who was aware of my love of all things Fallout) purchased me a squad of Brother-Vinnis excellent Brotherhood of Steel Paladins so I set to work on these... And I was so impressed with these models that I went straight online and ordered up a load more models! First up we have a steel-knight equipped with a Gatling laser: ![]() ![]() I really love this model; especially as it sticks so closely to the T-45d armour from the game. Next up are the rest of the squad; the original models (irritatingly) only come in a single uni-pose with one weapon option (the Laser Rifle) so I tried to mix things up by adding a few different weapon systems from Hasslefree miniatures. ![]() ![]() ![]() Overall I'm really pleased with the way these guys turned out, they are great models and a real joy to paint! It's a nice break from 40k.... Now I just need to decide what I'm going to next... The Enclave models or the Brotherhood scribe! There's a few more pictures of these and other models on my blog: http://classicastartes.blogspot.co.uk I hope you guys like my efforts. I can't wait to get them on the post-apocalyptic battlefield! Very nice work they all look great. The good thing about Fallout is the variety of weapons and equipment you can use. I quite like some of the Fallout Tactics imagery with the Power armoured brothers equipped with M60's, M16 and SLR's |

Yeah, I'm a big fan of dudes in power armour packing modern weaponry, I think it's quite a cool image. I used to love fallout tactics when my entire squad were carrying M60s. I hope Brother Vinni releases some T-51b's soon (that's a cunning hint if you ever read this Vinni)! |

Cheers guys. I only really do GW stuff from the 1987-1996 period. I am embittered with their modern stuff slowly because their business model and poor treatment of their customer base sickens me. |

I had visited your Blog before ever making my snide remark, for your benefit Almost to the Wastelander have GW product of some sort in our collections, some more than others. Even I have my collection of various 40k, WHFB, Necromunda, & Mordheim. Of the four I've played more Mordheim than any of the game systems. And there isn't any argument that GW is $#!++!n9 on there customer base by milking every penny they can to feed the Corporate Blackhole! Then again they don't owe a gaming community to us, they are a business after all. |

Apologies for the delayed reply. I've had a bit of a family tradegy which has cut down hobby time a bit, but I'm getting on the wagon again. London: no tutorial yet, but I'll try and get one done for you when I get the chance if you still want it (I know it's been a few months since you posted!) Legio |
