Let me introduce you to my Squat/Dwarf Road Warrior - Mad (its not his name - but a title!). He is a WHFB plastic dwarf with a Heresy dwarf engineer shotgun arm (sawn down of course) and a mordenhiem cross bow in the other hand. The beard was trimmed and some catchian pouches added. A over coat was added and a shoulder pad from a 2000AD plastic ganger added. No wasteland wandered would be complete without goggles - which I added on green stuff. I will have to get a pic of Mad's converted armoured 4x4 truck up in the vehicles WIP soon. More minis will follow. CC and ideas welcome.

Mad Sorry, couldn't resist I've been worried about adding crossbows to my stuff, that and spears, as I'm not sure of how well they'd work, if they 'fantasy' up the models too much. Your squat though looks about spot on, with a bit of paint of course

Administrator Posts: 3,744 Group: Admins Member #1 Joined: Jul 22, 2008	More WIP's..... These guys are from Lord Blackdaggar's Company - part of the Brittannia Bunker City army. They are plastic Warzone Imperial. One officer got a Bauhus head and a sword. There is a trooper with a 40K IG flamer, another with a Space Marine Scout sniper rifle and there is a trooper with a Combat Zone plastic trooper Auto Cannon. Then there is this lot. They are the start of STALKER styled Post Apoc minis for roaming the wastelands. The four minis on the left where some cops an robbers set I got. I cant remember the manufacturer but I thought after that they had heads that where too large. They were too cartoony. So I gave them Iron Pig Kolony rebel heads (these heads are nice and worth the cash!). They look much better. The other two are warzone plastics with head swaps. This faction will get some hoods added to give them the feel from the game. As for this unruley mob... these are the Milton Hole Warband. They where GW LOR Urki Hia I got from a mag for £1. Bargain. Soon they where shaved in places and served in my Babylons Burning Ghoul horde. Now they are getting some basic firepower as a basic mutant warband. Mutants and Deathray Guns has a lot to answer for!

This was a crappy WHFB wood elf circa 1987. 20 years ago I decided to ahem convert it. It was my first ever conversion. Ok - all I did was replace the sword with a laspistol. I found it a couple of weeks back. It had a pingy wannabe harliquin paintjob that would stand out at a nightclub for cameleons on very hard hallunicgenic drugs. The shield was daft looking too. So it got repainted in the colours of a STALKER from the PC game. I also added a plastic junkers shield to make it look less fantasy. This is going to be a mutant psiker. The mini is a heroclix one (sorry I dont know which one) and simply rebased. I get the feeling that she might need a bit of detailing. What do you think? CC welcome! In the wings is another clik figure - who will become Mattblackgod's world first ever Vault Dweller. Pics to follow!

Wasteland Legend Posts: 3,648 Group: Admins Member #2 Joined: Jul 24, 2008	That old elf noesn't look too bad, haha he doesn't look much like an elf though I can't tell on the Heroclix model (sun hitting the screen at the moment), but the form looks nice (and the blue skin certainly sets it apart).

The blue clix girl looks ok from here, but extra detaling never hurt... If you did her hair yellow, and put some white marks on her right hand she'd look like hte girl from the skank comic....

Left to right (ignoring the truck) is a converted Clix mini - given weapons and repainted as a vault dweller, the other two are convered minis for my Pictsies tribals - kilts and stuff. Administrator Posts: 3,744 Group: Admins Member #1 Joined: Jul 22, 2008	They are going to be like the PC game. Most are independants so lots of chances to play solo characters. They camp together and go their own ways - hunting for artifacts or mutants (or is it hunted by mutants?). As a group they will defend or help each other. Thats not to say some actually like each other. In the stalkers minis there are some Bandits - who are at constant war with them. The mini on the far left is going to be a bandit. I also have a female from this set. She has the head - but as I had sculpted hair on her - she has no hood. More bandits will be added from plastic CZ ganger minis. I may use one or two plastic CZ troopers as the more successful Stalkers (fancy body armour & weapons). I also landed 4 Eshers - one with out a leg (?) and three without heads cheap on evilbay. They are now fitted with Kolony Rebel heads (legless is getting a artifical leg!). Hoods and hair will be added (one or two need hand weapons too). The Stalker game hasnt got chicks - but hell its my world and I will twist it if I want too. Not too sure if I should have them as bandits or Stalkers. Another problem for the factions is the Military - in this case my 40K Valhallians (Neo-Sov Bunker city in my world). There is also a group of EM4 cops - who will become a NKVD unit. I have to research their uniforms from WW2. I am tempted to do a Monolith faction (crazy Cultists) using CZ plastic troopers with head swaps.

Some greenstuff will make up the leg housing. I may add some wires and techy bits too. The alternative is a pirates leg. Just a wooden table leg!
