"Ashcan" Pete At night “Ashcan” Pete sleeps wherever his travels take him: in a field, on a train or maybe, if he`s lucky, in a barn. He bunks with his loyal hound dog, Duke, on one side and his beat up guitar on the other. And sometimes when “Ashcan” Pete sleeps, he dreams. He dreams of haunted, tortured places and of horrible creatures. When he wakes up, he knows that someone needs his help, because his dreams are true. He couldn`t say how long he`s been on the road, living by his wits, but he can say for certain no place is too far to go to help someone in need. And as long as Pete can help people, he`s not likely to stop wandering any time soon.

The miniature is from the board game "Mansion of Madness" (Fantasy Flight Games). Check the website for more MoM-Minis: http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_minisite_sec.asp?eidm=6&esem=2&esum=156 |

Heyhey, good to see you are making progress! However, keep in mind that using FFG names and fluff will be punished by certain personas discussing rules for 6 hrs in a row! Some moss at Pete´s base wouldn´t hurt. Buns avoid mud. Even a small thinned down impression of moss at the stone would do fine to break up what appears (at least at the pics!) to be somewhat monochrome paint sheme. Out of the same reason you shall try to give the guitar a quick gentle drybrush to give the impression of wear and/or the strings. And try shooting the next pictures at your balcony! I demand to see some Berlin light as well as your plants! PS: Remind how p/o´ed I was when you said my bases all look muddy? Sorry, but for me, your zombie bases wil always remain cookie bases.

Oh, on second viewing: Is one of the zombies holding a leg? Thats cool! Except for that fact, they remind me of people at a festival late at night, shackling to their beers or tents ![]() And special recommendation for finishing "my" character first! |

Not only this. On my birthday we could´t decide, if we are going to play Descent, Last Night on Earth or Munchkin. The result for me was to drink Japanese Whiskey with my father-in-law
Excellent idea!
I will update the guitar. It looks too plain.
Long life the red tomatoes!
Yes, now I remember

@Tinker: Because you are not the Ssamurai from Osakka! (Sorry, there is an ongoing competition between me and Darkman. Everytime we play Badmington we can´t help but insult each other with fake Japanese accent. Scaring of all other players, regulary.
Best thing to do. In my point of view, they desperatly needed more variation. How are the Cultists doing? And the big things? Regarding the guitar: Thought about adding some brass for the... ehm... brassen parts?

Prof. Harvey Walters Walters is a visiting Professor at Miskatonic University. With Doctorates in History and Archaeology, he has uncovered several interesting artifacts over the years and learned a little of the arcane arts. Recently, by carefully studying the papers and talking to people in the streets, he has begun to detect a disturbance - something that could potentially herald the arrival of something unthinkable from beyond time and space. ![]()

You really should! The Japanese Whiskey that I have drunk was the Hibiki-Whiskey. It´s expensive, but if you like a smooth and aromatic blend than it would be a good choice for you! And ... that is important for Finisterrae ... Hibiki is from OSAKA! *Darkman is drawing his Katana ... *
I switched again to the FFG-Cultists, but the coloring is like a never ending story. Yesterday I tried to improve Pete´s guitar and the result was a total mess! Now I have to repaint the rear of the guitar and drill a new soundhole The next miniatures that are going to be finished are a lunatic, Kate Winthrop (a scientist), Michael McGlen (guy with a Thompson submachine gun), Sister Mary and Gloria Goldberg (a writer). The two Chthonians are finished until 95 %. |

Prof. Harvey Walters is an excellent miniature! How does he measure up to 28mm? Darkman: "... Hibiki-Whiskey. It´s expensive... then it would be a good choice for you!" Ya lost me at 'expensive.' I'm not cheap, but on very limited gaming and boozing budget. Truth be told, I've zero budget for either. I have been known to spend money I shouldn't on miniatures I want, but don't need, that aren't used. Edited by tinker, Aug 5 2014, 05:18 PM.
