I was thinking about the ways i would fly about in a P.A. world , this is the only one that might seem plausible for me. anything else would have too many mechanical parts for me to take care of. I know it would be a big slow moving target..but maybe if i flew high enough haha !

This is just the main balloon constructed and primed, all the shiny bits will go on after the paint job :drunk:

If anyone has any ideas about what i could put on this thing, please speak up !
Thanks for your time guys ! Comments and suggestions welcome ! :whis:

I'm impressed by the giant cat construct you've made, very life like!

As for the very cool hot air balloon maybe a plastic champagne glass from a wedding/party shop?

IIRC, there is a rule set called "Aeronef"; it's VSF but could be adapted...

Antigravity, it's easiest to model... :)

Just came across the Ian McQue stuff in the last few days, still blown away by it.

Cheers,

Great idea about the plastic glass stem, ill be on the lookout for one now. I made a makeshift base in the meantime with a coat hanger and a magnet :drunk:
gave it some paint, and wanted it to look weathered, my painting skills are very amateur so meh

Very good work, Grimm!
Did you use a tennis ball as ballon? Anyway, your idea is worth a tutorial. I wouldn´t paint the ballon itself too much - looks weathered enough to me by now! A little wash to the tape, concentrating on painting the gondola, voilá.

Great original concept. It looks cobbled together and completely unsafe. I like it.

Nope not a tennis ball :) It is one of the wife's Knee high nylons stuffed with cotton and soaked in watered down pva glue so it holds shape :drunk:
I will make a list of materials i have used and snap a few pics for fun so you can see what i glued together ;)

That would be epic ! i would love to see what you would come up with :pipboy:
I am trying to think of a few ways to spruce mine up still, some weapons would be nice, but all i could really imagine would be nets, and all sorts of nasty stuff dropping from above :bomb: Maybe some garbage bags hanging over the side with some bio weaponry :brick:

just added some bits :twitch:
Posted Image I thought it needed some broken strands of rope hanging, some balloon patches, and of course more duct tape.
Posted Image I put some stuff in the basket, but i don't want to take up any standing room, playability is the top concern :)
Posted Image i also gave her some sand bags, and a chain, for an anchor or swinging hooked zombie slayer :goggleson:
Posted Image Soon to be floating through the wastes...

Thanks for your time guys !
