I have been stalking these forums lately looking at all the lovely tunnel terrain. Since I don't have any, I thought I would give it a try, here is what I have built so far, most of it is lacking the bits it needs, but I will add those soon enough. I think I will be able to get a couple different layouts with the few pieces I have already :drunk: . The foam board I am using is already black, so hopefully I can just do some dry brushing and washes to make it look decent...As always Comments and ideas welcome!!!

Looks like you're on a roll... and from experience I know you have put some time into the project too! Where did you find the waffle iron foamcore?!

Have you given thought how you're going to detail it out yet?

My secret to foam core is..... I know a butcher, and this is the stuff they package meat on ! I get the extra that he can spare:) works out well, seems to be almost the same stuff as everyone else uses :whis: So in short its the Styrofoam under the meat
As far as details go, I will most likely go for a concrete look with the walls, broken pipes here and there, I will have to have a look through my bits box. I just wanted it to look good and looted, with lots of broken pipes and wires :pipboy: Hopefully once I start putting odds and ends in it will come to life a bit. I have to look through the forums and get some good ideas to steal :catch: !!!

Very good start, I like the modular layout. You should be able to make any arrangement you need. I can't wait to see the details you put into this!

I wish I had a good suggestion for anything to do for the mesh pattern. I think some might make good recessed lights, the ever popular drain works well too.

Yeah, a tunnel build out of butcher´s packing... that´s creepy!
Looking good, but you should add some things to break the LOS, and consider one or two T-crossings to make your dungeon less linear.

This looks great. Just started reading Metro 2033 and I have tunnel terrain on the mind at the moment whether it comes to fruition is another story. But I shall drool at yours in the meantime.

Great looking tunnels. I was experimenting to make a 15mm set recently. I may have to crack on soon.

Metro 2033 and Stalker both inspired my 28mm tunnels. Metro2033 is a great book.

Whoa MAN :jaw: Amoungst the very best PA tunnels I have ever seen! Excellent idea for the meat trays, I have been saving some for the big foam numbers I'll have to look around for that texture....just super cool! Where did you score that little light bulb by the keep shut door?

I think that came out more than ok, it looks great! I think the doors and broken pipes are especially effective. I've just finished reading 2034 so I'm thinking of a similar project, this has given me loads of ideas. Inspiring stuff, nice one!
