They are made from plaster. I bought a toy car and i noticed the hard plastic shell the toy came in was roughly car shaped. I twisted it and bent it to give it a battered look and then poured plaster into my new mould. The second one i tried came out even more battered and worn looking. cheers dex |

Great idea. That should give plenty of wrecks without using up your original car. I think i saw some do a whole junkyard that way... You could even make them into stacks, or combine cars as if they had crashed into each other... |

maybe try not only mashing the plastic bubble it comes in but using some hot glue to add a little more ''rough'' texture to appear as dents when they are removed from the mold. |

Cracking idea with using the packaging as a mould. You can get a product called instamould that you could probably do something similar with it has another name Oyumaru I think which is its original name and its cheaper to buy that brand you can make a mould then when finished re-use the stuff. |
