I'm writing my own superhero skirmish rules and have found some people at the club that are willing to play as well!! Therefore I dusted off my old Heroclix, but have neither time nor energy to re-paint them so I took a superspeedy shortcut, dunked them in Armypainter Quickshade!!

As this was my first time ever trying it out, I made the rookie mistake of not checking properly for pooling (thought it would be enough to shake it like mad...) but will do so next time. All in all I'm pretty pleased with the result.

I also have half a ton of card terrain to put together, so those pics will follow shortly.

Army Shade doesn't look too bad, and I like the results. Ya know you can just paint it on just like a wash, no need for dipping. Another way is to hot glue the fig to a roofing nail and loading the shank of the nail in a drill and just spin the excess shade right off the fig...

They look good, did you dullcote them afterwards or is that the finish you get with army painter? I'd be interested in trying out your rules if you wanted to share them.

They come out very shiny Dicehead so I gave them a coating of Vallejo Matt Varnish to take the glare off.

I'm still tinkering with them but aim for having a playable version 1.00001 by the end of the month. I have really enjoyed your ruleset so I'll be more than happy to send you a copy :-D.

Late to the party.

Those minis are looking good!I have used a good amount of Army Painter's strong dip and have been very happy with it.
