This novel is written by Deric R Budendorf and starts out quite well. It is aimed at teenagers. A terrorist designed Virus kills off all the adults across the world leaving the kids to fend for themselves. However it starts to get a bit weird and you get the feeling you are reading a re-written bog standard run of the mill fantasy tale that mirrors the tales of King Arthur in many ways. After a while you feel like the author sticks in the word rifle and shotgun every now and then when he remembers. Sadly I found the book badly written and its full of poor grammer (and coming from me that is a BAD sign), typos and cut and paste errors. There is also the feeling that some said "hey that fantasy tale has been done - do something different to make it stand out!" so the author quickly changed it to a Post Apoc tale and forgot to put the effort in. Dont bother and go buy some minis with the money instead. |
